STUNNA GAMBINO SHARES NEW SONG & VIDEO “EVIL”

Published

on

19-year-old rising star from New York City’s Washington Heights, Stunna Gambino, shares new track and video “Evil.” The melodic track, produced by Maaui Yahweh, is the perfect sonic backdrop for Stunna’s reverb-ridden vocals as he raps “I can feel it in the air they won’t take my soul.” Stream “Evil” HERE and watch the music video HERE.

Stunna Gambino cemented his staying power with releases including 2020’s “Rockstar From The Trenches” (featuring Bizzy Banks), his Toosii assisted remix of “Rivals,” and his explosive single “Demons” in December. Since its release, Stunna Gambino has seen such high-profile artists as Rihanna, Soulja Boy, The Kid LAROI, and Rowdy Rebel show support. “Demons” has since been streamed over 20 million times, while “Heartless,” “Rivals,” and “Rockstar From The Trenches” each near 10 million streams. Stunna carried that momentum into 2021 with April’s “Top Opp Vulture,” climbing past 5 million streams. In July, Gambino appeared alongside Polo G on The Kid LAROI‘s “Not Sober” and performed at Rolling Loud Miami before releasing his single, “ZAZA” the following week, rapidly soaring past the million-mark within the first week of release. After “ZAZA,” Gambino connected with A Boogie Wit da Hoodie to release “Demons,” his biggest hit to-date. In October, Gambino also performed at Rolling Loud New York. At only 19, Stunna Gambino has turned millions of heads by speaking his truth over captivating melodies and flows and quickly proven himself a standout among New York’s diverse rap landscape.

As a prodigy, he earned the name Stunna based on his flashy wardrobe, made possible by a father who worked at Bloomingdales. A love of mafia flicks inspired the “Gambino.” Like a film plot, Stunna was taken under the wing by some older, seasoned guys on his block. With an older brother, he began pursuing music in his adolescence. “We built a booth out of this one wooden closet,” Stunna recalls. From a makeshift home studio to the city’s best recording spaces, the rapper spoke his truth, vented his pain, and laid out his ambitions. Gambino’s evocative voice and melodic flows first took hold of the city in late 2018 with the release of his single “Still the Same” (featuring Leeky Bandz). Before turning 18, Stunna continued to apply pressure in 2019, releasing his debut project, Underrated, including the standout single, “Switch Sides” (feat. Jay Cino), before selling out his first show at SOB’s. Stunna Gambino has since built a massive fanbase of “vultures” who’ve taken him to new heights with every release.

Raising the bar for contemporary Hip-Hop and collaborative strength alike, three top artists from Georgia’s Rap scene unite to release a motivational and infectious new anthem titled “I Won’t Never.”

Young Jah. Only1Deezy and DumasXPNTL. The three combined talents are bringing a fresh new sound and carving a pathway in the process, all while uniting different cities in their state.

The track and video comes through at just two minutes and thirty-five seconds, but aims high and hits the mark for confident and captivating bars.

Backed by heavy bass-work and relevantly crisp trap rhythms, “I Won’t Never” introduces itself with an unforgettable hook, and follows this up with a brief yet striking set of verses to further the integrity and grit of the whole release.

Heartfelt and hard-hitting all at once, authenticity drives the fiercely honest outpouring and musicality that is “I Won’t Never.” The music keeps things simple yet compelling, with faultless production elevating each vocal identity and shift in the story.

In addition, pristinely impressive visuals from director and film-maker Colton Castles effectively bring the whole thing to life, blending genuine performance with distorted and warped after-effects, for an ultimately intense and memorable release that showcases the very best of the abilities all involved.
