Rising singer-songwriter Young Shann gets personal with the release of her much-awaited debut single, “Better”– listen now HERE. Produced by Platinum producer & Detroit’s own W$ Kharri (Jacquees, Diggy Simmons), the record finds the Virginia-raised songstress delving into the emotions enveloped in relationships. It arrives alongside an official music video.

The accompanying video for “Better” is directed by Brittney Briggs courtesy of Common Courtesy Studios. Shot in Brooklyn, NY, the visual shows the budding R&B starlet going through the motions with her love interest. At the end of the video, Shann realizes that she was better off keeping to herself.

Speaking on the song, Young Shann said “With ‘Better,’ I really wanted to explain how it feels to deal with a guy after you see red flags. Sometimes we find ourselves giving more than we are receiving. The ups and downs in relation can get stressful, but it wouldn’t be if time, love, and effort were reciprocated back to us.”

“This is a song for all my ladies who dealt, or are still dealing, with someone even though they didn’t stay solid.”
