Up And Coming Artist RodThaGreat Takes Us On A Journey Through The Mind With One Of His Latest Records “Fever Dream”

With music being a common form of emotional expression and healing, it takes courage to be vulnerable and share one’s internal world to the public. For up and coming Atlanta-based rapper, RodThaGreat, being genuine and authentic to oneself is the most important part of the songwriting process. He’s unafraid to shed light on what’s on his mind. Much of his work focuses on embracing both light and dark thoughts, contrary to the mainstream narrative of needing to be constantly positive. So far the young independent artist has released two EPs, his freshman EP “Dark Nights of the Soul” that was released in May 2020 and sophomore EP “The Art of Slumber”, released in October 2021.
The road to authenticity hasn’t always been easy for the young introspective rapper. “At the beginning stages of my artistry, I didn’t quite sound like myself. I dumbed down a lot of my lyrics to try and sound mainstream so it can appeal to more people. Although it wasn’t terrible and was decent, I wasn’t being true to who I was. I used to go to the studio with some upperclassmen when I was 15 and oftentimes I would show them what I wrote. One night this one homie of mine told me to just be me. Don’t try to be no one else except for ME. After that I vowed to be true to myself through my music, and to not care about negative opinions about it. I knew as long as I’m being myself, I would always attract the thing I’m meant for, and if I hadn’t had that interaction, I would have achieved a lot of the things that I have achieved and a lot of doors wouldn’t be open as they are now.”
RodThaGreat credits his older cousin for inspiring the start of his music career. He’d recall listening to his music on repeat on his iPod. “I thought that (my cousin) was better than most professional artists that were on the radio. I still feel the same way.” He cites Ye, Nas and Kendrick Lamar, the usual hiphop icons, as archetypes for the way he thinks about writing songs, but also finds inspiration from books, images, and events from his everyday life. He emphasizes, “even going outside to take a good look at the world, behaviors, and people for inspiration. Mostly books inspire me more than anything.”
RodThaGreat’s artist name is a manifestation of his ambitions and how he envisions his music career to play out. “My goals are to elevate minds, and to touch the souls of as many people as I can through art. I aim to be the greatest in my craft and I can see myself creating nothing but masterpieces in the future.” He’s already collaborating with his team of producers who’ve helped him with his sophomore EP and has established a partnership with Sony Entertainment.
When asked if he has any other talents or future plans, RodThaGreat replies, “I would love to write and direct movies after. Even be in some.”
He is currently working on creating a music video for his single “Fever Dream” to start.

Trapland Pat & Lil Toe “Keep It Goin” in New Single

With a bright, buoyant flow and the lyrical agility to go bar-for-bar with the best, Trapland Pat is poised to reach new heights in 2023. Continuing his recent streak of searing street singles, Pat connects with his fellow South Florida native, the ski mask-wearing eccentric, Lil Toe, for “Keep It Goin.” Channeling his wide-eyed intensity and drawing inspiration from his college football career, the PepperJackZoe-produced track finds Pat at his most fired up: “If it’s up, then it’s stuck, they better duck down/Red zone, goal line, them loads ‘bout to touch down.”
“Keep It Goin” arrives on the heels of “Inside Looking Out,” Pat’s first solo release of 2023, and closely follows a pair of collaborations with red-hot riser Luh Tyler on “Backstreet” and “Can’t Move Wrong.” In 2022, Pat took his vibrant, tropical vibes to the next level, releasing his Trapnificent mixtape this past summer. Pat’s first release for Bang Biz and Alamo Records, Trapnificent earned praise from Pitchfork, who called the project a “zippy distillation of his regional roots” and said that Pat’s music is “extremely regionally and culturally specific, like so much exciting and promising new rap music.”
Ready to build on his impressive 2022 and bring his South Florida street raps to a larger audience, Trapland Pat has the goods to be Broward County’s next big star.

Rich Amiri Signs With Internet Money Records, Shares Debut Full-Length Project

Tearing up the internet underground with his velvety vocals and strong hitmaking instincts, Rich Amiri has spent the past two years turning heads in high places. Today, Rich Amiri announces his new record deal with Internet Money Records / 10K Projects. Founded by Taz Taylor, Internet Money is the industry’s premier producer-artist collective, responsible for a phone book-length list of RIAA-certified hits, a polished and innovative production sound, and boosting the careers of some of rap’s most exciting young artists. With his expert sense of melody and rich vocal timbre, Amiri is a perfect fit for the roster and a good bet to evolve into a major star.
For his first move as an Internet Money Records signee, Rich Amiri shares EVOLUTION, his debut full-length project. Produced in full by Internet Money, the new project provides a rich and futuristic canvas upon which Amiri can paint with his deep and soulful voice. The Boston-native rhymer is an expert flexer, whether he’s bragging about his illicit gains on the percolating “Dirty Money,” or proclaiming his own immorality on the cavernous closer “Can’t Die,” produced by IM’s Cxdy and Taz Taylor. Spanning 12 tracks, the project plays like a cohesive mix, with many tracks seamlessly transitioning to the next, with instrumentals that fill the room but leave space for Amiri to twirl his infectious melodies. The result is a dreamlike evocation of a world of Amiri’s own, full of Audemar watches, Rolls Royce Wraiths, and more money than one can count. Home to the recent singles “Poppin” ft. Lil Tecca and “Salty,” EVOLUTION is available everywhere via Internet Money Records / 10K Projects.
EVOLUTION is the latest step in Amiri’s rise from SoundCloud to nascent stardom. In 2021, he released his hit “Never Fail,” which recently surpassed 3 million streams on SoundCloud, which sparked a series of underground hits. Last year, the rapper shared his debut EP For The Better, which featured guest spots from SSGKobe, Summrs, and others.
With his new deal with Internet Money, the respect of his peers in the melodic rap game, and a fast-growing fanbase, Rich Amiri is out to take over the game. Stay tuned for much more from the rising star in the near future.
