SleazyWorld Go Returns With Heater “Robbers & Villains”
2023 is set to be a landmark year for Kansas City’s SleazyWorld Go, who was announced by Spotify as an Artist To Watch in 2023, and last week iHeartRadio announced him as nominee for Best New Hip Hop Artist. Today, he continues his winning streak with the release of “Robbers & Villains,” a tight 2-minute heater about expecting the unexpected, growing up in an environment like he did in Grand Rapids, MI, and then later in Kansas City, MO. He pairs hard-hitting bars with sinister humor, making bangers that have real street wisdom behind them — a skill that Sleazy’s already proven to master on last year’s “Sleazy Flow.” In the video for “Robbers & Villains,” Sleazy takes it back home to Kansas City and mobs around town with his crew, directed by Jerry Production.
2022 was a huge year for SleazyWorld Go — “Sleazy Flow,” earned him first a co-sign then feature from Lil Baby, his first #1 on Urban Radio, and his first RIAA certified platinum plaque. While “Sleazy Flow,” set Sleazy up for success, he proved he’s here for the long haul on Where The Shooters Be. WTSB has star studded features like Lil Baby, G Herbo, Offset, Rich The Kid, and more, but it also boasts 20 tracks that showcase Sleazy’s versatility. There are hard hitting rap bangers like “Free YSL,” songs for the ladies like “Different,” and he gets sentimental about his success and how far he’s come on “Public Housing.”
SleazyWorld Go’s rise to stardom began in 2019, following a personal transformation behind bars. The artist whose mom moved his family from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Kansas City, Missouri, searching for a better life, wanted to move in a positive direction. Music was his method. He began parsing a dynamic range of songs on social media and cultivating a fanbase. Ahead of all that 2023 has in store for him, Sleazy asserts, “I want to keep breaking barriers and doing what hasn’t been done.”
Atlanta native burgeoning rap star, Rico Cash, keeps up motion with his new video “Invisible” – the visual captures all the things that matter to the rapper – including his friends, business team, family and heartfelt moments from his baby shower with Lira Galore. The video was shot in Atlanta, GA – and the track was produced by Melz Eardrummerz.
Rico Cash is determined to pave his own lane while staying true to his Westside Atlanta roots, and remaining passionate about unapologetically telling his story through his music. Maryland emcee and Creative Minds founder Jerrod Bowen presents the Unscene productions-directed music video for “Sound Odyssey”, the Keylow & Physical Graffiti-guested lead single from Bowen’s new album Thelonious, named after the jazz pianist Thelonious Monk. Thelonious also features guest appearances from Mr. Ruckus, Crown Vic, & Klassic Soul, all representing the Creative Minds brand. The entire album is produced by Washington, D.C. beatsmith K-Murdock, who fuses golden-era sounds with live instrumentation. Murdock also produced Bowen’s debut album Days Of Grace (Spotify). “Sound Odyssey” is named after a record store in Bowen’s hometown of Ocean City and interpolates the jazz classic “Summertime”, as the lead single of an album filled with nods to the golden era of hiphop which K-Murdock calls “a labor of love”. Thelonious is out now on Creative Minds LLC.
Rising DMV artist Luwhop Lewis releases new single “Gemini ina Nightmare” which is a mix of the catchy DMV flow along with a dope vibe that reminds us a bit of artists such as Tony Shhnow, Teezo Touchdown, and Bear1Boss.
It’s a mix of eerie tones along with a more silent whisper cadence to his voice creates a nice, easy going flow that is smooth on the ears. A new video goes with the audio that is shot in a unique and vivid purple lighting that gives it a ambiance to it that’s visually appealing.
