LB199X isn’t waiting until February to highlight the black leaders that helped shape the man he is today. After name-dropping Huey P. Newton, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Jr., and more on the opening lines, the DC-born MC is clearly operating on a higher level. Like many, LB199X is tired of seeing black-on-black crime and systemic oppression affecting the same neighborhoods that raise young African American men like himself. The Guin Records representative has always been bold in speaking his mind.
