Ruso turns his back on the past on “Fuck Em”

Published

on

Ruso’s “Fuck Em” is smooth and sensual, all the while being a cautionary tale of getting attached to anyone. He’s buying guns and weighing out his options and reciprocating the energy that others send his way. It’s a dangerous way to live so Ruso puffs smoke and kicks it, waiting for the day that it’s his turn. The realism in the tune is too hard to miss.

Tyler Loyal Loads Up The Hits With New Track “2AM (You Know)”

Published

on

After getting “Back In Dat Mode” with help from video director Erikson Corniel and a noteworthy sync placement on the NFL Network ‘Sunday Spotlight’ segment back in January, Massachusetts musician Tyler Loyal slows things down with the debut of his latest R&B single “2AM (You Know).” Co-produced with GRAMMY award-winning instrumentalist Diego Ave, the after-hours appropriate track is a change of pace from Tyler’s previous Hip-Hop release and finds The City on a Hill’s best-kept secret spotlighting his radio-ready vocal ability.

Detailing the song’s central theme in a press statement, the talented triple threat reveals:

“I tend to find inspiration in the women from my past. My recent relationship has been the driving factor for a lot of my recent work, especially when it comes to a song like this. I’ve been told I’m a toxic partner, whatever that means. From my perspective, it’s hard to cut off something you really want. My love is like a drug. I make love with passion. They always come back, and so do I.”

Tyler Loyal is a Boston-born genre-bending artist, songwriter, and producer who holds an air of confident composure over every track that he touches. Having a passion for rapping since the age of eight, the Massachusetts native made an impressive intro to the industry as a teenager in 2017 by way of this Soundcloud premiered single “Better Off As Friends,” which went on to accumulate 300K+ streams with barely any promotion. As Tyler continued to develop his craft, in 2018, he dropped “The Bottom” and solidified his buzz locally.

Consistent work and development continued the following years, birthing more well-received material such as “Enemy” In 2019, he turned up the heat with several releases, including “Options,” “Gone For The Summer,” and the Jay Gwuapo collaboration “Level Up.” Determined as ever with more to prove, Tyler linked with rapper Jay Critch for his early 2020 single “Hit Me” leading into his debut project ‘When You Decide’ and the follow up project ‘Nova’ featuring standout cut “PSYCHO” in 2021.

Emerging New Orleans star Rob49 linked up with multi-platinum recording artist DaBaby for the defiant new single “Hate It Or Love It” via Rebel Music/Geffen Records. The latest release from Rob’s forthcoming 4God II EP, “Hate It Or Love It” is full of the sort of relentless energy that Rob49 has become known for, a mission statement that sounds impossible to deny. The coinciding video is one of the first directorial debuts by DaBaby as well. WATCH VIDEO HERE

Though “Hate It Or Love It” marks their first collaboration, Rob and DaBaby make for a natural pair, each MC are a master of navigating beats in a way that maintains his uniquely muscular presence. Over a hypnotic, piano-led instrumental, Rob and his Charlotte-bred partner trade verses about staying steadfast in the face of adversity, backstabbers in their own circles, and enemies of all stripes.

Hate It Or Love It” arrives in the wake of the Peezy-assisted “Let Me Know,” which was released earlier this month, “Ball N Chill,” and “4God II,” all of which are set to appear on Rob’s forthcoming EP. Those tracks were preceded by the G Herbo-assisted “Add It Up,” and “Product of the Trenches,” two pummeling singles that emanate confidence and danger. Additionally, Rob recently toured with Nardo Wick, expanding his fanbase with each stop. This past fall, he also performed in the halftime show at a Pelicans game in his native New Orleans.

In just a short time, Rob has been embraced by some of hip-hop’s heavy hitters: 2022 album Welcome to Vulture Island features collaborations with Icewear Vezzo, Babyface Ray, Doe Boy, Landstrip Chip, and Lil Baby—to say nothing of the project being introduced by legendary Cash Money Records founder Birdman. His single “Vulture Island V2” with Lil Baby amassed more than 20 million views on YouTube alone.

With “Hate It Or Love It,” Rob makes it clear that he’s on the precipice of something even bigger.
