Runo & Sheff G Connect On “Winners”

Published

on

A kinetic drill anthem, “Winners” is an excellent showcase for Suno’s locked-in flow and snappy lyricism, as he combines tough-talking boasts with quips that undercut his bravado while Sheff G shows why he’s one of the most exciting rappers in NYC by matching Suno’s rapidfire flow and occasionally delivering his rhymes in a foreboding whisper. They both bring their lyrics to life as they drive around the Five Boroughs in a Rolls Royce before meeting up in the hood with a crew of homies and some beautiful women (#winning). “Winners” is the follow-up to “Bandit,” Suno’s first single of 2021, a fiercely slick banger with over 800k YouTube views.

Buoyed by his boisterous personality, Ron Suno built up a massive following on Instagram (nearly 1 million followers), YouTube, SoundCloud, and TikTok with his amusing skits and admirable artistry. A restless creative ever since high school, Suno uses every expressive outlet available to him to get his message across, from music to short-form video to dance challenges. Suno’s music career started to take off in 2019 when he dropped “Pinocchio,” which racked up over 9 million Spotify streams and caught the attention of Blueface, who hopped on the remix. Last June, buoyed by the momentum of “Pinocchio,” Ron released Swag Like Mike, the project that put Suno on the map with hit singles like “SPIDER-MAN” ft. Fivio Foreign and “Netflix.” Ever since dropping Swag Like Mike he’s been on an unstoppable upward rise, collaborating with rappers like DDG and Smoove’L and speaking with XXL and FLAUNT. The sky’s the limit for the young riser, who obliterates the boundaries between mediums with his force of personality.

Charisma and originality seems to be the name of the game these days, and to me, nobody checks both of those boxes quite like Michigan’s own YN Jay, aka the “Coochie Man.” Late on Friday, he returned with his latest video-single, titled “Yeessiirrrr.” On this new cut, Jay delivers an energetic flow, flexing more of his off-kilter bars and standout ad-libs that have earned him an impressive following in the midwest and beyond. The video, directed by NTRO4K Films, features Jay and his squad posted up in front of a beamer, all while he smiles ear-to-ear showing off his villainous, yet at the same time endearing, grin.

Prior to “Yeessiirrrr,” YN Jay shared a video for “Kakashi,” a standout track off Ninja Warrior, his most recent project. Earning coverage from PitchforkEntertainment WeeklyMic, and many others, Ninja Warrior showcases the viral sensation’s superior beat-riding ability and boundary-pushing bars. Featuring collaborations with Lil YachtySada BabyLouie Ray, and Rmc MikeNinja Warrior is out now.

DoubleCChanel Empowers Fans On “Body”

New Jersey recording artist doubleCChanel shares the music video for her latest single “Body.” Directed by Film Mafia, the record finds her flaunting her luxurious lifestyle and rapping abilities over the boisterous track. The track features Retrol$awesome, who serves as a fitting verse for the latter of the song.

“Body” arrives months removed from the release of her “WYKBL” music visual, which has gained over 3K YouTube views. Only going up, she continues her streak of flamboyant rap tracks and lyrical slaughter over bass-heavy and hi-hat puncturing instrumentals.

Speaking on the song, Chanel shared, “This song is inspired by my lifestyle. I consider myself to be a boss. Every bar I’m telling you how I’m living, how I get it, and how I make it happen. I feel like other boss-ass women can relate to.”

She added, “We shot the video in two locations in New Jersey. I believe the vision that the videographer and I had was executed well. I love shooting to get my vision across. It was so fun to put together this video especially for being my first video of the new year.”
