Lil $o$o Releases “Bad Attitude” Visual!

Published

on

The only way to ensure you kick the New Year off right is to close the current one out properly and that’s exactly what Lunchbox Records (@LunchBoxRecs), founded by Grammy-nominated triple threat LunchMoney Lewis, signee Lil $o$o (@lilsosodon) does with her latest drop. Appropriately titled “Bad Attitude,” the SFL Xavi-produced Pop-leaning Hip-Hop track personifies the South Florida native’s larger-than-life personality that led to a co-sign from Kodak Black. With a colorful music video to match, fans can instantly tap into $o$o World and get a glimpse of what to expect from her debut EP dropping early 2022.

“Sometimes guys claim I have a bad attitude, when honestly I’m just not interested and don’t give them my time or attention. When I listen to the record I feel like a boss ass bitch; I feel empowered as well as happy. It’s a fun outgoing song and it’ll make you wanna shake ya ass,” say’s the rising rapstress about the meaning behind the song.

During high school, her life took a turning point when she began to gain popularity on Instagram, even getting shouted out by artists, such as Cuban-American singer Malu Trevejo. She then met her first true love, rapper and record producer Jayo Sama, whose child she became pregnant with while still a student. After she and him moved in together, anticipating the birth of their firstborn, the ultimate watershed in her life occurred: the love of her life was fatally shot. Motivated by both her heart-wrenching grief and the inner strength that was fueled by their upcoming newborn, Lil $o$o’s main focus became being the best mother. Therefore, she started writing as a hobby, utilizing it as a way to both heal and have fun.

Atlanta, Georgia native $odaman has been flooding the airwaves for the past month now with the release of his December 2021 project SO DA TAPE 2 that demonstrated the large artistic leaps he has taken over the last year and the versatility he has developed as he matures. His output over the last several years has been prolific and slowly but surely he has etched his name into his hometown’s dense underground ranks, charming fans with his personality and impressing many with his improvement and consistency, evolving his style and brand without ceasing.

One thing that has characterized his rise thus far has been the copious instances of creative music videos that have bolstered his reputation and proven his tedious attention to detail that speaks to both his artistic integrity and commitment to his craft. Today he is releasing the second visual off of his latest mixtape “GOSSIP,” following up the release of “ALOT X3” where he and Kharkhee connected, showing off both their clear chemistry and Kharkhee’s exceptional editing and direction skills. “GOSSIP” takes a stylistic detour from a good portion of the tape and certainly from “ALOT X3” as $odaman responds to the naysayers and pillow-talking that fuels his fire and openly addresses all of his recent success and encourages his doubters “Let’s talk about it,” and this confidence emanates from the entirety of SO DA TAPE 2.

Icewear Vezzo Stirs the Pot in “Richer Than My Opps”

Published

By

Having carved out a name for himself amongst Detroit rap royalty with his effortless bravado, offhand slick talk, and casual delivery, Icewear Vezzo has entrenched himself as a fixture of the city as both a rapper and entrepreneur. The competitive mentality and devoted persistence required to excel in each of those fields as Vezzo has are abundantly evident in his latest video single, “Richer Than My Opps,” available now. Driven by the infectious repetition of its titular hook and punchline heavy verses, the track finds Vezzo putting enemies on notice that they could never make flexing look so easy, so they might as well stop trying.

The video sees Vezzo posted in a kitchen that would look a scene from a ’50s sitcom if it weren’t for the racks, double-cups, and baking soda on the breakfast table. Flanked by posse at times and trapping by his lonesome at others, the visuals mirror the journey Vezzo took to become “Richer Than My Opps.” Though Vezzo flaunts the spoils of his success alongside his team, it’s his hands that stir the point, and what he cooks up can’t be replicated.

“Richer Than My Opps” kicks off Vezzo’s year in bold fashion as it arrives in the wake of his recent mixtape, Rich Off Pints 2, in September. The sequel to the Pitchfork-praised Rich Off Pints, ROP 2 explores Vezzo’s evolution from hustler to entrepreneur, elucidating the artist’s competitive mentality one track at a time. The 14-track project boasts over 65 million US streams to date, along with 4.2 million streams across catalog last week. ROP 2 follows Vezzo’s high-profile collaborations, including “Tear The Club Up” ft. Future and “Up The Scoe ft. Lil Durk, with the latter boasting over 13.6 million YouTube views and 42 million streams to date. Featuring additional appearances from Moneybagg YoRio Da Yung OGRMRBabyface Ray and more, Rich Off Pints 2 is available everywhere via Iced Up Records.

With Vezzo staying consistent, 2022 is his year. Stay tuned for more from the prolific rapper and entrepreneur.
