KhiBDN’s “On That Road” is about being the toughest in the room

KhiBDN’s “On That Road” is one of the hardest tracks that you’ll hear today. The rapper’s latest is about calling the shots and making the plays, carrying the guns and making sure that everything that he says can be backed up. He packs a punch that makes for one hell of a listen anytime that it comes on.

Balt Getty Drops “80s Crack Baby”

Balt Getty presents the animated music video for his “80s Crack Baby” mixtape, produced entirely by Balt and featuring shoutouts from DJ Premier, Scott Storch and Kanye West. The artist, DJ, producer, award-winning actor, director and Purplehaus founder born Balthazar Getty is the son of German artist Gisela Getty and John Paul Getty III. Balthazar entered the mainstream via his role in 1990’s Lord Of The Flies, going on to star in David Lynch classics like Lost Highway and the 2017 resurrection of Twin Peaks. Countless DJ gigs around the globe and a string of Purplehaus releases featuring everyone from rap legends Wu-Tang Clan to Latin superstar Asdru Sierra set the stage for the 2018 introduction of his animated alter ego Balt Getty, which first appeared on single “Porsche” (watch the music video) followed by “Retail Therapy”, which attracted Riff Raff for its official remix (Spotify). Balt’s silver-haired, gold-grilled, face-tattooed animated avatar takes center stage in the “Crack Baby” video, which comes on the heels of Balt’s self-directed music video for “Ugly” (Youtube) and “Sad Boy” (Youtube). “We set out to create the first ever animated mixtape,” Balt says about his new project. “The theme is anod to growing up in The Bay during that era.”

ITZ JALEEL Drops “ON ME”

Nashville rapper Itz Jaleel presents the 3amedia-directed music video for “On Me”, his latest single produced by Michael Belvedere. The song comes on the heels of visuals for “Overtime” (watch the video) and “Anyway” (watch the video). Born Jaleel Cunningham, Itz Jaleel began his journey to rap at an early age. Raised on old school RNB and hip hop, he developed an interest in poetry, “that’s where I started developing my pen game without even knowing”, says Jaleel. What once was a hobby, has now become a career. It was the death of a close relative that propelled Jaleel into pursuing rapping as a career. In 2020, Jaleel released his first album YOU=ME (listen to the album). But it wasn’t until his second album titled S.O.N. that the industry started to take notice. Featuring fellow Nashville rapper J, the S.O.N. album (listen to the album) helped the artist gain notoriety thus, pushing him to release his first single track for 2022 “Bossin’ Up” (watch the video). Jaleel says he was inspired to make “On Me” after losing his grandfather, “which reminded me to not take life and the time I spend with family for granted. Any level of success I reach, my family will be there with me, because they’re the reason why I work so hard.”

Tyler Loyal Enters 2023 With “Back In Dat Mode” Music Video

Following the single’s premiere on the NFL Network ‘Sunday Spotlight’ segment earlier this month, So Rebel/AWAL signee Tyler Loyal unloads the Erikson Corniel directed music video for his Sonni-produced banger “Back In Dat Mode.” Surrounded by his day ones, Tyler rides around the city decked in a winter Supreme coat making it clear he’s officially outside again.
Explaining the song’s central message in a statement to the press, the Beantown native explains:
“I’ve been at my lowest, living off Cup Noodles and cold-cut sandwiches. I’ve also been in the presence of financial freedom. Both experiences brought me to the same conclusion, I need to get rich. I made a promise to myself at 8 years old that I would be the one in my family to break the barrier and every day I live on this earth I’m trying to get myself closer to that end goal. This song is for the hustlers. It’s what it feels like to be fed up with your current state, get up and get to the bag.”
Tyler Loyal is a Boston-born genre-bending artist, songwriter, and producer who holds an air of composure and confidence over every track that he touches. Having a passion for rapping since the age of eight. The Massachusetts native made his debut as a teenager in 2017 with his single “Better Off As Friends”, via SoundCloud, which accumulated 300K+ streams, with barely any promotion. As Tyler continued to develop his craft he would release the following year his most-played song across several platforms “The Bottom”, which helped solidify his buzz as an artist, especially in his local area.
Consistent work and development continued in the following years, and brought more well-received material such as “Enemy” in 2018 before he turned up the heat with several releases in 2019 including “Options,” “Gone For The Summer,” and the Jay Gwuapo featured track “Level Up.” Determined as ever, with more to prove Tyler linked with rapper Jay Critch for his early 2020 single “Hit Me” leading into his debut project ‘When You Decide’ in 2020 and the follow-up project ‘Nova’ in 2021; which featured the standout cut “PSYCHO.”
