Kenny mason Drops 4ever and Teases “Stays 02” Freestyle

Published

on

Last week, Kenny posted a flyer with the word “Strays” and the date May 5th via instagram. His fans recognised this as the title of an 8 minute freestyle compilation Kenny released last year following his debut album, Angelic HoodratStrays 01 was a compilation of verses from the project which Kenny freestyled back to back in an uncut and unedited video clip which went viral on youtube and was a fan-favorite piece of content from his 2020 rollout. The title, “Strays” also has a double meaning – as in stray verses from his recent project, but also as in stray dogs. If it wasn’t clear by now, Kenny loves dogs and references them in all his songs and visuals. His fans are also affectionately known as “Pups.”

Kenny Mason’s new video for “4Ever” is actually a clip from the much larger Strays 02 freestyle compilation which Kenny will be releasing later this week on Wednesday 5/5 at 9pm EST via his Youtube channel. Strays 02 features some of the best verses from Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut and showcases Kenny’s awesome rapping abilities while offering fans a taste of what’s to come when he hits the road this summer on tour with festival dates including Rolling Loud in July. I have a preview link for Strays 02 below along with the link where it will be live on Wednesday night, but in the meantime, please let me know if you can share Kenny’s new video for “4Ever” along with the announcement of his new freestyle comp.

Houston heatmaker, E Bleu (@ImEBleu) continues his winning streak by enlisting Billboard chart topping rap actDerez De’Shon (@DerezDeShon) for the remix to buzzing single “3AM.” Initially launched as his official return record following a brief hiatus, the release of the original audio was followed by the Keanu Livigni-directed music video. Today, we’re gifted with the upgraded version of the DeVan “D1” Hooker crafted cut, which E Bleu reveals was the outcome of a recent promo tour stop in ATL.
E Bleu on how the record came about:
“I’m big on things happening organically. It started with Derez genuinely liking the song and showing me love just off that. I stopped in ATL for a promo tour a few weeks back and the rest is history. We left the studio at like 8am lol. Bro is one of the most solid people in this music thing.”

The 2EZ Recordings‘ posterboy first hopped on the scene as a teen in a duo with Kevin Abstract, lead singer/songwriter of Brockhampton. In 2018, he released his breakout solo effort “Me Time,” which caught the attention of Motown Records‘ Shawn Barron who took an interest in him and began to help develop his sound. The K3yboarrdKid-crafted cut later spawned a high profile remix with Eric Bellinger & 24hrs, captipulting his career into overdrive.

RonnieMac has been on a tear since last November, when he released his well-received, “Mac Friday.” Shortly after that he followed up with another effort titled “Stop Playin.” Laced with 6 tracks, production on the EP was handled by the likes of Cloud Beatz, WoodOnDaBeat, Machu Beatz and more. As for guest features, there was only one by Detroit rapper Silent 313.

And today, Ronnie and Silent return with the official video to their collab off “Stop Playin” titled “Waldo.” Shot by @YRfilms_, the West-Coast and Mid-west link up in the dope new visual. Here’s what Ronnie had to say about the clip:

“The video was shot in my City of Oakland.. I had my dawg [Silent 313] from Detroit pull up and it was a crazy day to say the least! But we were still able to get it done! Go run it up on my YouTube channel now!”
