East Oakland native King Tahoe releases electrifying visual for “Tell Me” with RnBAaron and Yasi

Published

on

East Oakland native King Tahoe released his seductive and electrifying single “Tell Me” featuring RnBAaron and Yasii where he paints the picture of a passionate and pleasurable rendezvous between him and his lover. The song is a catchy tune that keeps audiences entertained throughout the entire record, and showcases Tahoe’s skills as an artist.

The independent artist in his own words describes the song as being all about sensuality but is clear to emphasize that it is not without overwhelming consent which is something that plays into the song’s title. “I’m huge on consent, so if my partner wants me, I need them to tell me,” he explained in a recent interview. Even with the risque subject matter of the song, it is still done in a way that listeners can hear and feel the admiration, respect and love that King Tahoe strives to keep within his music. “Whether I’m singing about poverty in my city, sex on the beach, or my many insecurities it all comes back to the love.”

When asked about one reason he’s passionate about music and what inspires him, King Tahoe says, “I’m passionate about music because of the effect it has on the world. Humans, animals, plants, all react to music. It’s beautiful.”

“The greats inspire me,” he continued. “There will never be another Drake or Michael Jackson but that’s cool because they weren’t trying to be another “whoever” they were attempting to be the best version of themselves. I’m that caliber of artist though (gotta say it until they believe it).”

This conscious and intentional choice to approach his artistry in this way will be what has listeners scrambling to add the melodic “Tell Me” to their after-hours playlist. This latest single is the first of many that the 27-year old artist has planned to release to heat up this summer. King Tahoe is sure to impress this year and has a lot more to be on the lookout for.

Jadakiss & Juelz Santana On That “Party N Bullsh*t”

Published

on

In preparation for his forthcoming album Better Late Than Never, New York’s own Juelz Santana enlists Jadakiss for the R2DaEz & Duke Dollas-produced anthem “Party N Bullshit.” Accompanied by a new music video directed by Andre “DreVinci” Jones as well, the latest drop from the Harlem MC serves as first official single on his new body of work and finds him trading bars with his Verzuz adversary while paying homage to Notorious B.I.G.’s 1993 classic cut “Party and Bullshit.”

When asked about what it was like creating the song with the LOX frontman in a press statement, Santana reveals:

“Collaborating with Jadakiss was natural. We both bring different vibes to the table, and this record reflects that synergy. The vibe in the studio was crazy that day. We were both vibing off each other’s energy, bouncing ideas back and forth. Kiss brought that classic, raw lyricism, and I added my own flavor with the flow. It was all about capturing that essence of having a good time while still keeping it authentic.”

As one of the founding members of the legendary Hip-Hop group Diplomats, Juelz Santana has been in the spotlight since 2002. He was featured on major hit records by Cam’ron such as “Oh Boy” and “Hey Ma” and he was on Chris Brown’s hit “Run It.” His meteor was rising so fast that he was signed to Def Jam and had a much rumored joint project with Lil Wayne in the works. Label politics and jail time derailed him for a time making him one of the industry’s greatest what ifs. Now, back with new material and a mindset to match it clear he dosen;t plan on slowing down anytime soon.

Vietnamese R&B/Pop vocalist Mai Lee enlists guitarist Connor Low as well as background singers Shanelle Scott, Dabriel Moore, and Brittny Holloway for a live performance of “Von (Love Me Like The First Time)” taken off her ‘FRIENDZ’ LP. Filmed at STL’s iconic Mai Lee Restaurant in Brentwood, during her Lunar New Year (Unplugged) concert, the intimate in-person experience compliments the Bradd Young & Vega Heartbreak produced track perfectly.

A medley of the people and places she represents, Mai Lee transcends the boundaries of music and fashion. Growing up in Missouri, the seasoned singer has always had music on her mind and in her heart. Attending performing arts schools during her youth, she uses those experiences to create a unique genre blending sound. Known for her intoxicating and soulful vocals, Mai Lee has shared the stage with artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, 2 Chainz, Fetty Wap, Estelle, and Busta Rhymes, performing in front of an audience of 20K+ people.

While you may hear some familiar influences in her sound, Mai Lee notes her parents as her biggest inspirations for her music career. Deitrick Haddon Spends ‘One Night In California’ In New Album

Published

on

Grammy-nominated Christian music staple Deitrick Haddon releases his latest studio album ‘One Night In California.’ Featuring a 17-track personal worship session, including standout records “Without You,” “Covered (Under D Blood),” “Never Be The Same,” “Momma We Made It,” “The Lord Will Make A Way,” and “One Day,” the new LP is the Detroit native’s first solo body of work since 2022’s ‘A Deitrick Haddon Christmas.’ Addressing criticism received about his methods, catalogue, and marriage head on but, more than that, the project finds him thanking God for bringing him through it all. Whether he’s penning timeless choir classics or performing the contemporary gems that have made him the ever popular firebrand, the cohesive collection of songs capture Haddon showcasing his full range of talent.

The title track single, which takes the same approach Usher did for his groundbreaking hit “Confessions,” reveals the seedy circumstances surrounding the events that forced him to turn to Christ. As a pastor, his past has always been the subject of speculation and rumor but, on this song, he clears the air. Divulging these details would be risque for any mainstream artist, but it’s especially taboo in religious spaces. Nevertheless, Haddon pushes the envelope while still managing to make a smash that will be talked about and enjoyed for years.

One of the biggest names in the Gospel genre, Deitrick Haddon is a Billboard chart topping singer, songwriter, producer, and pastor who’s been a lightning rod for Christ for years. His amazing music along with his featured role on Oxygen’s Preachers of LA television show has allowed him to amass loyal fans and followers the world over. Some of his most prestigious accolades include being a 2x Stellar Award winner, 2x NAACP Image Award winner, a Dove Award winner, a Soul Train Award Winner, and a 3x Grammy nominated artist. Haddon is constantly operating outside of the box and he has a knack for garnering attention on social media.
