Rich Amiri has no room for a “Best Friend” in new video from ‘EVOLUTION’ project

Serving up flex-heavy rhymes with a deep, syrupy voice, Rich Amiri is rap’s Scotty McCreery. Following the release of his Internet Money Records/10K Projects debut project EVOLUTION earlier this month, Rich continues his run, sharing the video for project highlight “Best Friend.” Produced by Internet Money’s Ayosauce and Radiate, the synthy banger finds the Boston riser doing some humble flexing as he reminds the ladies and the haters that they could never get too close to him: “Better not be lackin’, brodie catch you, you get flattened/I beat that h* back in and now she wanna be my best friend/Don’t do textin’, break up with a text, man.” The Keaton Jones-directed video sees Amiri chilling alongside two besties at a photoshoot, making it clear that he always keeps the baddies in rotation.
“Best Friend” is another installment from EVOLUTION, following recent videos for project opener “Mention,” the brewing heater “Salty,” and the energetic “Poppin’” featuring Lil Tecca. Keep your eyes peeled for what Rich Amiri has coming next!

In the uplifting new single, the Toronto-based singer reflects on saying good-bye to things that don’t serve her, while saying “Hello” to the greater things in life. Within Aqyila’s mission of re-discovering her old self, she takes listeners along her introspective journey of growth and evolution.
“Falling in love with who I am, I don’t have time for anything that’s going to harm me,” Aqyila sings on the track.

Arkansas rapper Young Quez shares new video single “Run It Up”

Independent Arkansas rapper Young Quez has just shared his new video single “Run It Up”. On the new celebratory track, Young Quez further expands on his unique sound, flexing his authoritative delivery through his vicious punchlines and aggressive flows. Turning up to “Run It Up” alongside his crew in the new video, Quez relishes in his success – “Back and forth with labels, we got deals on the table / I ain’t pickin’ up my phone, unless it’s mills on the table”, he raps proudly to kick off the new song. “Run It Up” serves as his second release of 2023, following up the hard-hitting “Rockstar” and last year’s monumental collaboration with Chicago rapper G Herbo on “Big Brother”. Through his harrowing vocals, “Run It Up” finds Young Quez honing in on his skills as an emcee and further finding his voice as a lethal spitter. With “Run It Up” and “Rockstar” expanding on his hot year in 2022 thanks to tracks like “Know I Am”, “Rounds” and “Big Brother”, Quez’s infectious energy and menacing bars continue to highlight the independent rapper’s skillset.
Young Quez is another addition to the quickly blooming Arkansas hip-hop scene, working to showcase the state’s talents. Only two hours away from the raucous Memphis scene, Quez pulls influence from their double-time flows and emphasis on punchlines to create a sound that is uniquely his. Young Quez has been grinding since 2018, releasing three full-length projects, including 2019’s Money Over Fame, as well as several singles. In 2019, he also dropped his most successful single to date, “No Cap”, amassing nearly 200,000 streams on Spotify. With the releases of “Rockstar” and now “Run It Up” to kick off his 2023, Young Quez is aiming to put his state on the map and simultaneously continue to feed the streets with his signature sound full of street sermons and soulful reflections.
