Chicago rapper PGF Nuk shares assertive new video single “YEAH” – 2021 single “Waddup” Certified Platinum
The Platinum-Certified Chicago rapper,PGF Nuk has just shared a new video single “YEAH”.Continuing to solidify himself as the face of Chicago’s new drill era with previous cosigns from Polo G, G Herbo, EST Gee, and BIG30, as well as last year’s #2 entry on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, PGF Nuk is taking his infectious energy and onslaught of no-nonsense bars to newheights. Serving as his fourth release of 2023, “YEAH” is the latest in an impressive string of red-hot singles, as Nuk continues to elevate his artistry from his momentous year in 2022. “YEAH” finds PGF Nuk further expanding upon his dynamic sound and what’s come to be his signature authoritative delivery. Combining his array of flows and lethal lyricism, his intensity and purpose as an emcee is on full display in the new track – “You gotta answer to the streets, this real life, this ain’t no test / Can’t get no money when you sleep, so I be woke, I can’t get rest”, he raps in the second verse.As he comes off of a breakthrough year in 2022 with the release of his debut project, Switch Music, PGF Nuk is in a good place and is looking to continue his momentum by opening up more. He’s been seen engaging with fans on social media, teasing more music, and even appeared on a couple of Instagram Live videos without his ski mask on, which has come to be a signature part of his identity. “YEAH” continues Nuk’s streak of consistently delivering commanding hooks – on this one, he asserts his dominance with the repetition of the track’s title by associating the response with different real-life situations. Following “Blast Off”, “The Next” & “Instakill”, “YEAH” serves as the latest example of Nuk keeping his foot on the gas, as he works to set himself apart as the undeniable frontrunner in Chicago’s newest generation of rappers.
Asian-American rappers Star2, ChinaTownRunner, and $tupid Young release the new single / video entitled “FWM”. The single precedes Star2 and ChinaTownRunner’s upcoming EP and sets the bar high with haunting cavernous beats and dark melodic flow.
Each of them affirm that they are “about money” in their separate verses and all ask listeners to “come and F*** With Me.” The music video for “FWM” captures Star2, ChinaTownRunner, and $tupid Young in a graffiti-stroked garage full of sports cars and women. Leaning into the sheer magnitude of the track itself, the visuals for “FWM” zero in on each rapper for an intense performance.
Star2 and ChinaTownRunner are preparing to embark on a summer tour with $tupid Young set to appear at multiple dates. Additionally, Star2 and ChinaTownRunner will perform on July 6th in support of the annual Ka-ren Soccer Tournament and Concert in South Dakota.
Star2 is a refugee artist from the Mae La refugee camp in Thailand. Star2’s documentary, RETURN TO KAWTHOOLEI: A Refugee Rapper’s Journey to His Homeland in Burma will be screened at the New Media Film Festival in LA on June 6th. So far, the documentary has been awarded with “Best Short Documentary” at the Malaysian Film Festival, “Best Documentary” at the Busan New Wave Short Film Festival in S. Korea, “Best Web and Media” at the IndieX Film Fest in LA, and “Exceptional Merit in Docu-drama Short & Human Spirit” at the Documentaries Without Borders Film Festival. Star2 returns to Thailand in May for his second trip.
Hollywood, Florida native Ann-Derie presents the official video for “Maximum Capacity”, the new single from I Am Only Human, her forthcoming album which also spawned “Just Us”, produced by Alvin Speights (R.I.P.), the engineer behind tracks for India Arie, TLC, Keith Sweat and many more. Shot in New York City, the “Maximum Capacity” clip comes on the heels of Ann-Derie’s tour of the East Coast (watch her interview with 99JAMZ). “Maximum Capacity” is out now on Dxnna Music Group.
