Lil PJ Shares ‘Gift From God’ LP Today!

Published

on

No city can possibly match Atlanta when it comes to musical exports, as over the last decade the industry, underground, and everywhere in between where music can be consumed has been dominated by largely youthful Atlanta artists who pop up out of nowhere and are spurred on by their city’s supportive scene that produces a surplus of charismatic young stars. The most impressive aspect isn’t necessarily even the abundance but rather the innovation and consequential perfection of certain sounds which often shock the industry at first but eventually are adopted by the mainstream.

Artists like Young Thug for example pushed melodic rap to new heights that it could never have before anticipated and after this precedent was set young rappers took this achievement and stretched it in every direction they could. Almost a decade after this unique southern sound took off, artists in Atlanta still incorporate those familiar melodic flows and tones and few have achieved such mastery at a young age as southside(?) Atlanta artist Lil PJ has the whole area’s attention at the tender age of only sixteen(?). He has already collaborated with beloved artists such as R5 Homixide, Unfoonk, Lil Gotit, and Lil Keed and earned the attention of dozens of others who support the rising star. His melodic capabilities are obvious as his vocal range can stretch all over the various types of instrumentals he is able to hop on and his lyrical abilities are strong and raw, depicting the many hardships and ambitions that are relatable to his audience of Atlanta youth that fuel their unique drive.

On Lil PJ’s latest project GIFT FROM GOD he calls upon features from CEO Trayle, Lil Keed, BSlime, Lil Gotit, and Slimelife Shawty and despite being the youngest artist on the album he holds his own and then some both vocally and lyrically alongside some of his city’s top artists and some of music’s brightest young stars as a whole. He recently released videos to his tracks “Speeding Fast” which features CEO Trayle and “Regardless” with Lil Gotit and there should be several more videos on the way within the weeks following the project.
