Trapland Pat Partners With Bang Biz & Alamo, Shares the NYC-Set “Motions” Video
Rhyming with an eye-opening intensity and an unshakeable flow, Trapland Pat has the goods to be Broward County’s next big star. Today, Pat announces that he has signed a new venture with Bang Biz Ent., an imprint founded by Fredo Bang, and entered a partnership with Alamo Records.
Celebrating his new venture with an anthem for the trappers, Pat shares “Motions,” his latest music video. Blessed with an electro-funk inspired beat that evokes a breezy drive from Broward to South Beach, Pat fits his flow in lockstep with the splashy snares, marveling as he thinks about how he’s hustled his way to a life he never could’ve imagined: “It’s only 24 hours, so really there’s no time to be wastin’/He say he hustle like me, that’s just his imagination.” In the video, shot by Jolo, Pat enjoys an eventful trip to New York City, highlighted by a trip to Johnny Dang for a new grill and a pair of Cartier buffs, a shopping spree in SoHo, and a visit to the offices of his new record label Alamo Records. “Motions” is a single from Pat’s upcoming mixtape Trapnificent, due to release in the coming weeks via Bang Biz/Alamo.
Raised in a strict Haitian household in Deerfield Beach, FL, Trapland Pat took it upon himself to escape his rough circumstances by any means necessary. When his football dreams came crashing to a halt after his scholarship to Indiana State was revoked, Pat threw himself into rap music. Inspired by his brother’s habit of freestyling, Pat realized he had serious talent, and spent his spare time refining his wordplay and songwriting. He made a name for himself in the south with mixtapes like Exit 41and Pak Man, eventually earning the attention of Fredo Bang, who signed him to his Bang Biz imprint.
2021 was a huge year for the young rapper, heralded by his single “Big Business.” Dominated by a simple, but infectious piano riff, “Big Business” showcased the rapper’s rare charisma, generating over 5 million combined streams and earning praise from Passion of the Weiss, who recently placed the song at #18 on its list of Best Rap Songs of 2021. “Big Business” was the centerpiece of the Pitchfork-acclaimed Thru The Door, an accomplished 13-track mixtape with appearances from fellow Floridians Kid Trunks and Kuttem Reese.
With his new venture in the books, Trapland Pat looks to bring his searing street raps to a larger audience. Stay tuned for much more music from the young rapper, and don’t dare doubt his determination to succeed.

Asian-American rappers Star2, ChinaTownRunner, and $tupid Young release the new single / video entitled “FWM”. The single precedes Star2 and ChinaTownRunner’s upcoming EP and sets the bar high with haunting cavernous beats and dark melodic flow.
Each of them affirm that they are “about money” in their separate verses and all ask listeners to “come and F*** With Me.” The music video for “FWM” captures Star2, ChinaTownRunner, and $tupid Young in a graffiti-stroked garage full of sports cars and women. Leaning into the sheer magnitude of the track itself, the visuals for “FWM” zero in on each rapper for an intense performance.
Star2 and ChinaTownRunner are preparing to embark on a summer tour with $tupid Young set to appear at multiple dates. Additionally, Star2 and ChinaTownRunner will perform on July 6th in support of the annual Ka-ren Soccer Tournament and Concert in South Dakota.
Star2 is a refugee artist from the Mae La refugee camp in Thailand. Star2’s documentary, RETURN TO KAWTHOOLEI: A Refugee Rapper’s Journey to His Homeland in Burma will be screened at the New Media Film Festival in LA on June 6th. So far, the documentary has been awarded with “Best Short Documentary” at the Malaysian Film Festival, “Best Documentary” at the Busan New Wave Short Film Festival in S. Korea, “Best Web and Media” at the IndieX Film Fest in LA, and “Exceptional Merit in Docu-drama Short & Human Spirit” at the Documentaries Without Borders Film Festival. Star2 returns to Thailand in May for his second trip.
Hollywood, Florida native Ann-Derie presents the official video for “Maximum Capacity”, the new single from I Am Only Human, her forthcoming album which also spawned “Just Us”, produced by Alvin Speights (R.I.P.), the engineer behind tracks for India Arie, TLC, Keith Sweat and many more. Shot in New York City, the “Maximum Capacity” clip comes on the heels of Ann-Derie’s tour of the East Coast (watch her interview with 99JAMZ). “Maximum Capacity” is out now on Dxnna Music Group.
