Born in Kenya, and moving to NYC at six-months old, Jesse split his time as a youth between Africa and Queens, NY. Being a city kid, he quickly became drawn in by skate culture, and gravitated to a punk scene which his sound is deeply rooted in today. Finally finding a permanent home in Brooklyn, Jesse has been able to hone in and refine his craft as a multigenre artist. This culminated in the release of his 2020 debut album, Before The Devil Knows We’re Dead, which features breakout single The Ride.” A mashup of genres, Jesse truly wears his influences on his sleeve, while ultimately exploring the paradoxical feelings we encounter in the realms of our human experience, life and love.
