XO’s Belly drops new album & music video ft. Rick Ross

Published

on

Award winning rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Belly has officially released his heavily anticipated album Mumble Rap 2 (Roc Nation / XO Records) along with a music video for his single “Cocaine Spoon” featuring Rick Ross. Executive produced by Grammy award-winning producer Hit-Boy, the album includes features from NAV, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and an interlude from the legendary Gil Scott-Heron. The new music video closes out the storyline Belly had started on his previous videos for “American Nightmare” and “Ambiance”.

Mumble Rap 2 aims to stamp Belly’s name in the conversation of top lyricists in the rap game and comes as the second installment in his Mumble Rap series, to which he’s stated he only plans on making 3 before retiring from rap. According to Belly, “With the first Mumble Rap I had already had a hit record and I wanted to remind people not to forget where I actually come from & that I really do this.” Containing some of Belly’s most dense lyrical content and sharpest rapping to date, Mumble Rap 2 is everything fans of the XO Records signee would come to expect from the Palestinian-Canadian emcee as he solidifies that he’s one of the best to ever hold a mic. Belly gave his fans a reminder of what he’s capable of doing behind the booth earlier this year after dropping his first Charlie Sloth Fire in The Booth Freestyle
