Trapland Pat Bosses Up With Rick Ross in “Big Business (Remix)”

Published

on

Trapland Pat‘s dexterous flow, deep sense of melody, and infectious smile have helped the young rapper position himself as a rising star in the bustling South Florida scene. Earning a co-sign from the Sunshine State’s sunglass-clad jefe, Pat recruits Rick Ross for Big Business (Remix).” Built around the bouncy piano rolls of Pat’s constant collaborator Pepper Jack Zoe, “Big Business” first saw release in 2021, and quickly became Pat’s breakout hit. Exuding easy confidence and packed with off-beat wordplay (“If you need a loan, you gotta pay me interest/No cappery/ Call the weed man, ’cause this shit here swappery”) the song racked up over 4 million YouTube views and earned recognition from Passion Of The Weiss, who ranked the song #18 on its list of Best Rap Songs of 2021. On the remix, Rick Ross slides like the booming-voiced boss he is, rhyming about carrying extendos in his fresh Rolls Royce and old school Box Chevy.

The remix arrives with a new video, which brings the veteran Ross to Deerfield Beach, giving the Miami native an opportunity to bless the bustling scene in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. Directed by Pat’s go-to shooter ShotByJolo, the video vibrates with excitement, as Pat and his homies celebrate their ascent. The video embodies a distinctly Floridian blend of chaos, as Pat rides a horse through Little Haiti and Rick Ross pulls up in 700 horses of his own. The video features cameo appearances from the track’s producer Pepper Jack Zoe, rappers like Sauce WalkaFCG HeemSauce Wooden, and Taleban Dooda, YouTubers like King CidJ Wonder, and Pappi Willie, and DJ Sam Sneak, along with dozens of Deerfield Beach residents who turn the block into a party. “Big Business (Remix)” follows Pat’s recent project Trapnificentwhich came out in May.

The follow-up to last year’s Thru Da Door,Trapnificent is home to standout singles like the joyful “Trap Dance” and the sinister “D.O.A.” Pat taps Pepper Jack Zoe to handle the bulk of the production, his creeping piano-led beats providing grounding for Pat’s larger-than-life bars and hummable melodies. Trapnificent rolls out the red carpet for a tasteful selection of guests, including Sacramento street hero Mozzy,Fredo Bang, who signed Pat to his imprint Bang Biz and appears twice on the tape, NYC Winners Circle maestro Eli Fross, and Memphis’

Ready to bring his searing street raps to a larger audience, Trapland Pat has the goods to be Broward County’s next big star. Trapnificent is available everywhere via Bang Biz Ent./Alamo Records.
