Trapland Pat Announces 6/2 ‘Professor Trap’ Mixtape, Recruits Tee Grizzley For “Spoof” Video
Trapland Pat‘s wide-eyed charisma and gently melodic flow have established him as one of South Florida’s most exciting young emcees. Preparing for the release of his upcoming Professor Trap mixtape, Pat shares “Spoof,” a cross-regional collaboration with Detroit heavy-hitter Tee Grizzley. Produced by frequent collaborator 2Side, “Spoof” is an exuberant and thumping anthem for the hitters, inviting each rapper to lock into the beat with their signature styles. Pat leans into his intensity, picking up the pace with rising melody as he elevates his flexes: “Went and got some property through the realtor, coulda got a car/The way these n****s really make wishes, they just seen a star,” spits Pat. For his part, Tee Grizzley proves he’s a beast in his city, and assures that he always keeps his homies fed. In the video, directed by Pat’s frequent shooter ShotByJolo, Trapland Pat and Tee Grizzley connect in Detroit, as the Florida favorite adapts admirably to the weather, rocking an Isiah Thomas Pistons jersey and a Bape winter coat. Watch the “Spoof” video at 5pm ET on Trapland Pat’s YouTube.
This week, class is in session with Professor Trap, the new mixtape by Trapland Pat. The tape gives a home to standout singles like the effortlessly funky “Backstreet” ft. Luh Tyler, the sinister “Z Land,” and the “Big Business” (Remix), which adds a verse from Rick Ross to Pat’s 2021 breakout hit. Featuring additional appearances from Big Yavo, G.T., and Pat’s Bang Biz label boss Fredo Bang, Professor Trap hits the streets on June 2nd via Bang Biz./Alamo Records.
The upcoming Professor Trap is the anticipated follow-up to Trapnificent, Pat’s acclaimed 2022 mixtape. Pat’s first release for Bang Biz and Alamo Records, Trapnificent earned praise from Pitchfork, who called the project a “zippy distillation of his regional roots” and said that Pat’s music is “extremely regionally and culturally specific, like so much exciting and promising new rap music.” Trapnificent kept up the momentum from 2021’s Thru The Door, home to “Big Business,” which generated over 10 million streams and earned a spot on Passion Of The Weiss’s list of Best Rap Songs of 2021.
Ready to build on his impressive 2022 and bring his South Florida street raps to a larger audience, Trapland Pat has the goods to be Broward County’s next big star. Stay tuned for Professor Trap, coming very soon.

Will Power 912 and Slim Jxmmi (one half of the hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd) are making waves with their latest single, “Love That For You”. This powerful record, produced by Icin On Da Kake, is a celebration of women’s resilience, strength, and relentless drive, especially honoring Black women who work tirelessly for the recognition they deserve. Coming on the heels of their recent release “Fine Sh*t Ratchet,” the duo wanted to create a track that acknowledges the countless women who hustle every day to achieve their dreams and provide for their loved ones, often without support or acknowledgment.
The inspiration behind “Love That For You” is simple yet profound: it’s a love letter to women everywhere, a reminder that their hard work isn’t going unnoticed. Will Power 912 shares, “Like I said at the end of the verse, ‘I love that for you, just hadda remind her.’ A lot of women are doing all the work—holding down the household, taking care of kids by themselves, becoming first-time homeowners, funding their lifestyle, closing deals—and they don’t get acknowledged. We just wanted to take the time to acknowledge them with this song and let them know we love that for them, we love what you’re doing, and we love watching youget results!”
Will Power 912, hailing from Statesboro, Georgia, carries a unique perspective into his music. Motivated by his former coach, Sherman White, he found a sense of purpose in channeling his personal willpower into his craft, which led to his artist name, Will Power 912. As both a songwriter and emerging artist, Will Power 912 is dedicated to giving a voice to those who feel overlooked, offering inspiration to those who may not have role models who look like them or represent their struggles.
Beyond this tribute, Will Power 912 and Slim Jxmmi have ambitious plans in store!
