Tanya Nolan is topping all charts

Published

on

One after another, Tanya Nolan is busting the charts, and her popularity seems to have no end. First, “Nobody Better,” then “Smile On My Face,” and now “Good Woman,” Nolan is definitely on a roll.

A Southern woman born and raised in Galveston, Texas, Tanya Nolan is a self-proclaimed singer and the heartbeat of many. To name a few, she’s a singer, a songwriter, an actress, a fashion designer, an entrepreneur, and a producer; what is that this wonder woman cannot do? Nolan has the god-gifted talent of a beautiful voice, and she found out that music was it for her in her teenage years.

She started singing at a minor age of only 15 years when she sang at different nightclubs in Houston and Galveston. Tanya felt surreal whenever she sang, and sooner than she realized, singing had become her epiphany. When asked about her singing journey, she would say that she can not imagine herself singing all day, every day.

It was a kind of spiritual activity for her, and Nolan is a living example of how dedication bears fruits. Her top inspirations are the music of Michael Jackson, Prince, and others; her affinity for music was not hidden from her family either. Ever since her teenage years, she has only been going upward and onward with her music.

Nolan’s most recent single, known by the name “Good Woman,” was a massive hit that smashed the face of all her haters. Good Woman secured the number 17 position on the adult R&B chart this year. Since then, Good Woman has opened the door to many opportunities for Nolan, including collaboration with SiriusXM, Majic 102 FM in Houston, and many more.

Tanya recently made an appearance on Majic 102 FM, aka the number 1 R&B station in Houston, where she was a co-guest with Ali Siddiq and Funky Larry Jones. Various media outlets, including your favorite Source Magazine and Singers room, have hosted her ever since. Do we still not believe that Good Woman was, in fact, very good?

When asked about her song, Nolan says that Good Woman is full of love and dysfunction. The top singer believes that this song of hers is a timeless tune, and we couldn’t have agreed more. She says that even the instrumentations used in Good Woman’s tune have their own language. The audience can relate to her songs, and they are a source of sheer joy for heavy hearts. “All of it is real,” says Tanya, a super proud owner of her tunes.

If you asked us what made Tanya Nolan’s songs one in a million, it’s the fact that she wrote them wholeheartedly. Her songs are a literal depiction of our feelings and sentiments. This is what makes Nolan, Nolan. No wonder Good Woman was a masterpiece!

Black Skywalker, the rising artist with an undeniable buzz, drops his debut EP, I Need Therapy.

The new project promises to usher in the new era of hip-hop. “Rap music is in a dark place and I came to bring the light,” said Skywalker. “The type of music I make is best described as Outer Space Jedi-level rap shit.”

Black Skywalker and Chris Rosa produced the debut EP featuring the focus track “Pills and Alcohol”. The single describes a man battling depression and anxiety with prescription medicine and champagne.

The EP includes hard-hitting 808s, crackling snares, and spacey synths. “We in Love” is a melodic record with a bouncy bass and drums. However, the lyrics depict a flawed relationship due to social media and porn addiction.

Black Skywalker’s ‘Pain of Letting Go’ has huge production and raw guitar. The lyrics express deep emotion and heartbreak, making the EP’s inspiration very clear.

“Therapy” is a song that touches on the struggles of life and the importance of seeking help. The production is interesting, with dark verses and uplifting hooks. The second verse highlights the benefits of opening up to a therapist and encourages others to do the same.

“Slide with Me” is a standout track from the EP with great production and an infectious hook. It narrates the story of falling in love with the woman of your dreams and has an upbeat vibe that sets it apart from the rest of the EP.

EP delivers a relatable conversation, amazing production, and intentional songwriting. Black Skywalker calls it outer space Jedi-level rap music.
