SossHouse Goes On Tour: Chavo, Sharc & Jelly to Perform Dates in May

Published

on

Under the leadership of mastermind Pi’erre BourneSossHouse has grown into one of hip-hop’s most exciting young labels. Today, three of the label’s hottest talents, ChavoSharc, and Jelly, announce they will perform on “The Hardest Out Tour” this May. A blistering 4-date showcase of SossHouse’s singular style, “The Hardest Out Tour” kicks off in Houston on May 24th, continues in New York (May 25th) and Atlanta (May 27th) before finishing up in Los Angeles on May 28th. Tickets for “The Hardest Out Tour” are available on DATE at MoveForwardMusic.com

Chavo’s rap ambitions date back to his early childhood, when he landed a deal with Interscope at the age of nine under the name Ray Ray, as part of a trio with his cousin James and Baby Bun, Big Pun’s son. Around 2014, Chavo was introduced to Pi’erre through his cousin, YSL artist Strick, planting the seeds for his recruitment as one of the first SossHouse signees years later. Chavo earned internet attention when he released his hit “Michigan” in 2021, generating over 31k TikTok creations, racking up millions of streams across platforms, and inspiring a remix featuring Babyface Ray. Later that year, Chavo teamed with Pi’erre Bourne for his acclaimed mixtape, Chavo’s World 2. Most recently, Chavo teamed with A$AP Ant and GT for “Wasabi,” and shined on his own with the romantic Call On Me” video.

A friend of Pi’erre Bourne’s from their native South Carolina, Sharc made an impact with his 2021 full-length debut, 47 Meters Down, entirely produced by Pi’erre. “Drunk N Nasty,” a collaboration between Sharc and Pi’erre Bourne from the latter’s 2021 album The Life of Pi’erre 5, recently earned a GOLD certification from the RIAA. In 2023, Sharc shared the fiery single 1 Of 1” and recruited Pi’erre and Frazier Trill for Poland (Remix),” a version of Lil Yachty’s viral hit with a video filmed in the titular country.

Another South Carolinian, Jelly made waves last year with his album The Wolf of Peachtree 2, entirely produced by Pi’erre. The Wolf of Peachtree 2 refines Jelly’s cinematic style over Pi’erre’s genre-bending instrumentals and jaw-dropping transitions. The followup to 2020’s The Wolf of Peachtree sees Jelly delivering his most combative cadences yet on unrelenting cuts like “Motion” and the Juicy J-assisted single, “Bubble Gum,” which sees the South Carolina native channeling the immutable flows of Memphis’ underground with stunning efficacy.

Stay tuned for much more from Chavo, Sharc, Jelly, and the rest of SossHouse as they prepare to take over in 2023.

Black Skywalker Drops Anticipated ‘I Need Therapy’ EP

Published

Black Skywalker, the rising artist with an undeniable buzz, drops his debut EP, I Need Therapy.

The new project promises to usher in the new era of hip-hop. “Rap music is in a dark place and I came to bring the light,” said Skywalker. “The type of music I make is best described as Outer Space Jedi-level rap shit.”

Black Skywalker and Chris Rosa produced the debut EP featuring the focus track “Pills and Alcohol”. The single describes a man battling depression and anxiety with prescription medicine and champagne.

The EP includes hard-hitting 808s, crackling snares, and spacey synths. “We in Love” is a melodic record with a bouncy bass and drums. However, the lyrics depict a flawed relationship due to social media and porn addiction.

Black Skywalker’s ‘Pain of Letting Go’ has huge production and raw guitar. The lyrics express deep emotion and heartbreak, making the EP’s inspiration very clear.

“Therapy” is a song that touches on the struggles of life and the importance of seeking help. The production is interesting, with dark verses and uplifting hooks. The second verse highlights the benefits of opening up to a therapist and encourages others to do the same.

“Slide with Me” is a standout track from the EP with great production and an infectious hook. It narrates the story of falling in love with the woman of your dreams and has an upbeat vibe that sets it apart from the rest of the EP.

EP delivers a relatable conversation, amazing production, and intentional songwriting. Black Skywalker calls it outer space Jedi-level rap music.
