QUEEN NAIJA CONFRONTS LIL MEECH IN NEW VIDEO & SINGLE “LET’S TALK ABOUT IT”

Multi-platinum songstress Queen Naija kicks off the new year with “Let’s Talk About It” — a slow-burning but unstoppable new single that calls out all the self-absorbed and drama-obsessed men of the world. Listen HERE via Capitol Records. Accompanied by a cinematic video that finds Queen taking back her power, “Let’s Talk About It” arrives around the Detroit-bred artist’s milestone five-year anniversary of her breakthrough hit “Medicine” (a double-platinum smash that premiered on New Year’s Day in 2018 and immediately set her meteoric rise in motion). Watch the “Let’s Talk About It” video HERE.
Co-written by Queen with Mike Woods (G-Eazy, Tink, Ty Dolla $ign) and producer Oak Felder (Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, Pink Sweat$), “Let’s Talk About It” is a powerful piece of R&B-pop built on her ultra-smooth soothing vocals. With its soulful backdrop of lush textures and hypnotic beats, the bold but vulnerable track challenges the men in her life to face their issues once and for all (from the second verse: “Putting up a front to hide behind your traumas/Takin’ all your anger out on me won’t solve ‘em/Had a real one by your side, but you just lost one”).
Directed by Sara Lacombe, the video for “Let’s Talk About It” opens on a shot of Queen driving rapidly through windy roads. It soon follows her to an abandoned warehouse where two other women assist her in bringing out her man tied up for Queen to confront him. Once inside the shadowy warehouse, a series of TV monitors light up to reveal footage of emotional crimes committed in the man’s past, as Queen autocratically circles her captive. Spliced with gorgeously captured performance shots of Queen, the visual ultimately finds her urging him to talk about what he’s done and fully own up to his actions. Alongside Queen, the video stars actor/rapper Lil Meech as her man from the 50 Cent produced television drama series BMF. The highly anticipated season 2 of BMF premieres tonight on Starz.
Not only dropping just after the five-year anniversary of “Medicine” — a track that debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 — “Let’s Talk About It” follows another major triumph for Queen: “Hate Our Love,” her early-2022 RIAA gold-certified collaboration single with GRAMMY®-nominated superstar Big Sean. Released last February — and later accompanied by an official video directed by Cam Busby (Wiz Khalifa, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby) — “Hate Our Love” marked another showing on the Billboard Hot 100, amassed over 265 million combined global streams, hit No. 1 crowning Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, and received a 2022 BET Soul Train Award nomination.
With more than five billion combined global streams to date, Queen made her full-length debut with missunderstood — a 2020 release that entered the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart at No. 1 and cracked the top ten of the Billboard 200. Nominated for a 2021 American Music Award in the Favorite R&B Album category, missunderstood features Queen’s No. 1 hit “Butterflies Pt. 2” along with her RIAA gold-certified singles “Pack Lite” and “Lie To Me” featuring Lil Durk.

Memphis Recording Artist Flex Jaxn Shares Shares Chilling New Visual For “Drugs To Numb”

Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Flex Jaxn is an emerging musical talent with a compelling backstory. Raised by a single mother and facing significant childhood trauma, including molestation by family member, he turned to alcohol and drugs at the young age of nine. Diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar Disorder, he struggled with these challenges throughout his youth. The gift of a toy piano at age 13 proved to be a pivotal moment, offering him an outlet and a means of escape from his pain.
Music became increasingly important to Flex, especially as he grappled with the triggers of his past, which led to multiple arrests and two overdoses. Realizing the crucial role music played in his well-being, he dedicated himself to it, eventually living in a recording studio. Through creating and composing, he journeys into self awareness turning his shortcomings into therapeutic art aimed at helping others facing similar struggles.
In 2024, Flex established D.I.R.E. (Drugs Imitate Real Emotions), a program inspired by his childhood participation in D.A.R.E., to support those battling substance abuse. That same year marked a turning point in his music career when he participated in The Roll Out Experience, leading to his signing by Shawn Barron and a deal with United Masters. He is currently working on his debut album, “10 for 10,” a deeply personal project where each song tells a story from his life, framed through the lens of celebrity drug overdoses. His released singles include “I Cry,” loose re-enactment of Juice WRLD’s death, and “Drugs are Numb,” depicting Rich Homie Quan’s overdose.
His next release, “Heart On Your Sleeve,” will explore the pressures faced by women in entertainment and social media. With his music already featured in several editorial playlists, Flex Jaxn is on a promising path to becoming a significant voice in his generation, offering solace and healing through his art.
