Millyz shares new video single “Tonight”

Published

on

Massachusetts hip-hop vet Millyz has just shared his new video single “Tonight”, a single off his forthcoming album Blanco 6, out 4/7. On the new track, Millyz reimagines the iconic Eminem track “Stan”, interpolating the original 1998 sample “Thank You” by Dido, to create something uniquely his own. The tone of the single is harrowing and somber as he reminisces on the memories of his fallen friends, including fellow MA rapper Roc Dukati who was chillingly killed right in front of him at a club early in Millyz’s career, and reflects on the risks that come with his fast-paced lifestyle. “Tonight” follows his previously released single “Moon Roof” featuring his long-time mentor Jadakiss who gifted him an iced-out pendant last week, a sign of the mutual respect between the two heavy-hitters. On the new album, Millyz is sharpening his skills, honing his craft, and exploring fresh sounds as he links up with everyone from Tri-State standouts Albee Al & Leaf Ward on “Risk Takers” (which earned a co-sign from Kodak Black this month)the iconic Jamaican producer Rvssian on the previously released single “YOYO”, and his tried-and-true collaborators G Herbo and Dave East.

Millyz lit the internet on fire all of last year with standout freestyles on L.A. LeakersThe Come Up Show, and most recently Fire In The Booth. In 2020, things started to really heat up for him with the release of his last project Blanco 4The album had a string of successful singles including “Emotions” featuring G Herbo“Benny Blanco” alongside expert bar spitter Benny The Butcher & “Hopeless” with Jadakiss. Leading up to the release of his 2022 Blanco 5, Millyz released the singles “Ashes In The Maybach” featuring Mozzy“Love/Hate” (feat. Gio Dee) and “Closure”.
