MICHAL MICHAL shares debut two-pack ‘SUMMER’S END’

Published

on

As the summer heat slowly starts to simmer, El Paso, Texas native Michal Michal encapsulates
change with his brooding EP, Summer’s End.

Out now, the 21-year-old artist emotionally ignites a new sonic era
with his new pack – capturing the essence of being young in the modern day. Holding
tracks in “Summer’s End” and “Hope,” the two-track EP also acts as a tribute to his late friend
David Armendariz, who is pictured with Michal on various sections of the project’s artwork.

“This one’s for the passed, the losers, the lost and confused, the hard workers and the ones still waiting for a sign… All good things must come to an end, so let’s run it up the first time. Been working hard for you guys. I dedicate this to D.”

Clad with a ghostly chorus that intertwines itself in between Michal’s bars about self-betterment,
success and his life in its current state, change is inevitable for the young singer-rapper as he
continues to evolve altogether. “Summer’s End” is not only a depiction of Michal’s rise to the
occasion, but “Hope” is a further testament towards better days – armed with dreamy,
thought-provoking melodies and lines that admittedly seep into your subconscious.

Casting sonic spells through his dynamic, raspy vocal range, Michal’s official foray into music
stems from the COVID-19 pandemic, where he was inspired by his friends who were also
embedded in the arts. Touting a mix of styles – akin to acts like Trippie Redd, iann dior, Mac
Miller and KYLE, among others – his passion for music was seeded from a young age, when he
would beg his parents to allow him to play the drums.

Past efforts like “SOHO Freestyle,” “First High,” “Fell Off” and his highest-streamed hit “A
Hangover Story” all emit the exuberance of being young, wild and free. With Summer’s End,
though, Michal has turned a new leaf – looking to follow the molds of his greatest influences in
Mac Miller, Juice WRLD, Cordae, G-Eazy, Tyler, The Creator and more.

Striving to deviate from the norm, Michal Michal offers a glimmering difference in an industry
overrun with cliches. Aiming to break through as a genuine voice for the youth, Michal knows
that while good things come to an end, the best has yet to come.

GRAMMY- nominated TAVE releases his
debut single “No More Maybes” featuring powerhouse vocalists Bibi Bourelly and India Shawn. Just moments after inking a deal with ADA/Warner Music UK, the London born and bred songwriter and producer is unveiling an exhilarating new artistic era with his name front and center. “No More Maybes” crystallizes TAVE’s newfound vision with an irresistible first listen of diverse cultures and sounds. This enthralling sonic journey through soul, R&B, hip-hop and pop features trailblazing singer-songwriter Bibi Bourelly and spell-binding R&B songstress India Shawn, who adds, “I don’t think TAVE knew he was making one of my dream collaborations happen when he hit me for a verse on ‘No More Maybes’. I’ve been a fan of Bibi for so long! It was cool to play with a different, darker sonic palette and to tap into a more rebellious side… it was a much needed departure, and that’s the essence of the song, getting away from familiar & not giving a f*ck.” Teeming with a rich tapestry of euphoric harmonies, emotive guitar, and silky layered melodies, “No More Maybes” is a groove-inducing listen that delivers the empowering declaration of self-worth and having the courage to demand what you deserve.

TAVE has had a comprehensive career working alongside Little Mix, 6LACK, Masego, The Saturdays, Rapsody, SiR, Kelly Rowland, The-Dream, EXO, Jazmine Sullivan, Melanie Fiona, and more. Recent achievements include co-writing / co-producing K-pop sensation Aespa’s debut single, which soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot Shot Debut charts, contributing to Masego’s Grammy-nominated album “Studying Abroad: Extended Stay” with standout tracks like “Polygamy” and “Bliss Abroad”, and 6LACK’s “Inwood Hill Park” from his 2024 Grammy nominated album “Since I Have a Lover”.

KVTheWriter & Mai Lee Drops New Track, “Figure Out The Rest”

Before she headlines Festival of Nations at Tower Grove Park next month and delivers the re-release of her debut LP ‘FRIENDZ,’ Mai Lee joins KVTheWriter on the official remix to her Reggie Son assisted track “Figure Out The Rest.” The STL posse cut finds the trio trading soulful verses about the 314 and all it’s allure over melodic guitar strums.

“I enjoyed sharing my artistry with KVtheWriter and Reggie Son. It was my first time working with them and I loved the experience. The song’s production is unique and allows each artist to stand out on the song. I felt like I gave St. Louis a bit of sexy sauce with my vocals,” say’s Lee speaking on the collaboration exclusively in a press statement.

A medley of the people and places she represents, Mai Lee transcends the boundaries of music and fashion. Growing up in Missouri, the seasoned singer has always had music on her mind and in her heart. Attending performing arts schools during her youth, she uses those experiences to create a unique genre blending sound. Known for her intoxicating and soulful vocals, Mai Lee has shared the stage with artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, 2 Chainz, Fetty Wap, Estelle, and Busta Rhymes, performing in front of an audience of 20K+ people.

While you may hear some familiar influences in her sound, Mai Lee notes her parents as her biggest inspirations for her music career. Fleeing from Vietnam in 1978 during the Vietnam War, Lee’s parents migrated through multiple refugee camps over the years before calling St. Louis their home. They opened up the first Vietnamese and Chinese Restaurant, Mai Lee Restaurant, a local staple in the city. The restaurant was built from absolutely nothing and ended up becoming the blueprint. Watching them work hard towards their dreams gave her the hustle and grit to pursue her dreams.
