Kenzo Balla Files Away His Feelings with “Attachments”

Published

on

Whether he’s barking battle-ready rhymes with unhinged aggression or venting his romantic woes like a kettle at its boiling point, Kenzo Balla delivers nothing but raw intensity behind the mic. Eager to drop some emotional deadweight and continue his rise, Kenzo returns to cut ties, sharing “Attachments,” his new single. Over a saturated, groaning drill beat that perfectly sets a lovesick vibe, Kenzo jumps on the track like his heart is about to burst if he doesn’t express his conflicted emotions: “If I say I’m leaving, I ain’t capping/If I mean it, then you past tense/It’s like damn I don’t know what to do, should I stay to myself, should I focus on you?”

His latest emotional missive, following in the wake of the similarly soul-baring video for “In My Moods,” “Attachments” is the latest single to emerge in the wake of The Year Of The BallaKenzo’s high-powered EP. Home to songs like the unrelenting “Opp Huntin’” (2.6 million views), the soulful “What’s The Move,” and the TG Crippy and Rayy Balla-featuring “Unfinished Business,” The Year Of The Balla is the Bronx rapper’s most expansive effort to date, incorporating new elements while remaining rooted in the East Coast drill sound. The Year Of The Balla is available everywhere via 10k Projects.

A rising name in one of the nation’s busiest rap scenes, Kenzo Balla made his mark on the scene with his relentless rhymes and high-energy vocals. Known for collaborating with fellow Bronx heavyweights like his brother TG Flockaa, Kenzo kicked off his career with a frenzy of fiery videos, including local hits like “5th To Sev” ft. TG Flockaa & Pdot Sav (2.3 million video views), “OOTAZ,” and the “Love Nwantiti”-remixing Let Me Know” (2.3 million views). This summer, the former AAU baller tore up the streets with Dead Gzz,” a vicious, uptempo missive that racked up over 1.9 million video views since its release in June 2022. Kenzo closed out 2022 in typically aggressive fashion with Mr. Ready to Blitz (Deluxe), home to the NPR-approved “Krash Out.”

Continuing to rise as his year progresses, stay tuned for much more from Kenzo Balla.

Swendal Gets Super West Coast On ‘Taste Buds’

Published

on

Los Angeles native Swendal is one of one and his latest LP Taste Buds’ showcases it fully. Being his first release in awhile, Swendal wanted to come back with a bang and that he did.

‘Taste Buds’ is a 25 track LP where Swendal mixes life experiences along with dope bars and metaphors that fans of good music can enjoy at any setting.

It’s a certain level of maturity from Swendal which fans of good music can really enjoy. The passion of his tone and level of wordplay is reminiscent of such as Dom Kennedy, the late Nipsey Hussle, and Blxst. However he is his own artist and should be appreciated as such.

Good company to keep for a good artist to add to your daily mix. Check out ‘Taste Buds’ below.

Melodic hitmaker Zayzayy won’t let his circumstances halt him from dropping music and his latest LP ‘Just Because 2’ is a great example of that. It’s full of passion and is much appreciated to the ears of music lovers worldwide.

‘Just Because 2’ is a seven track EP that features Zay himself venting about his experiences which are relatable to not only people in his situation but also your every day consumer of music. The pockets he hits sonically are some of the best I heard this year.

“Seven songs, seven stages of my life on audio recording for my fans! Keep me in your prayers,” Zayzayy states. Seems that he is keeping faith during his downtime.
