Get To Know Independent Artist Nochildhood

Published

on

Nochildhood is up and coming in the independent rap world with a unique sound and lyrics that detail what it has been like for him growing up without a father figure, feeling abandoned, and finally finding himself through his music. He describes his music as “pain but motivational music,” his music serves as his outlet to communicate his emotions and experiences. The name “Nochildhood” originated from his isolation from a patriarchal figure in his life, looking to his mother and his twin brother as his only family. Eventually, he ended up spending a majority of his teen years in Juvenile Institution; this started his transition to focusing on rapping. He said that he realized he had to figure out what he wanted to do with himself and he knew music was his way out. He felt as if he had nobody to talk about his pain to so he started putting it in his music. So far, Nochildhood has gained nearly 2,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with his highest streaming song “Heartless” amassing over 10,000 streams. As his career continues, he hopes to become a music legend and positively impact the youth by encouraging them to not give up pursuing the things they are passionate about. He has an intense drive to eventually become one of the greats in the rap game such as the artists he looks up to being Toosii, Kur, and Tupac. Make sure to be on the lookout for his new EP coming out soon, “The Decision is Yours.”

Tanya Nolan is topping all charts

Published

on

By

One after another, Tanya Nolan is busting the charts, and her popularity seems to have no end. First, “Nobody Better,” then “Smile On My Face,” and now “Good Woman,” Nolan is definitely on a roll.

A Southern woman born and raised in Galveston, Texas, Tanya Nolan is a self-proclaimed singer and the heartbeat of many. To name a few, she’s a singer, a songwriter, an actress, a fashion designer, an entrepreneur, and a producer; what is that this wonder woman cannot do? Nolan has the god-gifted talent of a beautiful voice, and she found out that music was it for her in her teenage years.

She started singing at a minor age of only 15 years when she sang at different nightclubs in Houston and Galveston. Tanya felt surreal whenever she sang, and sooner than she realized, singing had become her epiphany. When asked about her singing journey, she would say that she can not imagine herself singing all day, every day.

It was a kind of spiritual activity for her, and Nolan is a living example of how dedication bears fruits. Her top inspirations are the music of Michael Jackson, Prince, and others; her affinity for music was not hidden from her family either. Ever since her teenage years, she has only been going upward and onward with her music.

Nolan’s most recent single, known by the name “Good Woman,” was a massive hit that smashed the face of all her haters. Good Woman secured the number 17 position on the adult R&B chart this year. Since then, Good Woman has opened the door to many opportunities for Nolan, including collaboration with SiriusXM, Majic 102 FM in Houston, and many more.

Tanya recently made an appearance on Majic 102 FM, aka the number 1 R&B station in Houston, where she was a co-guest with Ali Siddiq and Funky Larry Jones. Various media outlets, including your favorite Source Magazine and Singers room, have hosted her ever since. Do we still not believe that Good Woman was, in fact, very good?

When asked about her song, Nolan says that Good Woman is full of love and dysfunction. The top singer believes that this song of hers is a timeless tune, and we couldn’t have agreed more. She says that even the instrumentations used in Good Woman’s tune have their own language. The audience can relate to her songs, and they are a source of sheer joy for heavy hearts. “All of it is real,” says Tanya, a super proud owner of her tunes.

If you asked us what made Tanya Nolan’s songs one in a million, it’s the fact that she wrote them wholeheartedly. Her songs are a literal depiction of our feelings and sentiments. This is what makes Nolan, Nolan. No wonder Good Woman was a masterpiece!
