Boogie Reveals Nottz Features On Upcoming ‘Ants & Elephants 2’

After solidifying himself with his Conway The Machine-assisted ‘Goat Eater’ standout “Details,” Boogie aka Boogie3x announces the sequel to 2017’s ‘Ants & Elephants’ by uploading a new visual to YouTube featuring three unreleased tracks all crafted by Nottz. The fellow Virginia-based creative and DMP member not only handled instrumentation for the aforementioned records but will serve as Ants & Elephants 2 executive producer. Additional production on the project will be handled by 1500 or Nothin’ sound architect PointGuard; most known for his work with Nipsey Hussle, Kelly Rowland, and Lupe Fiasco.
Speaking on the unique way he decided to share the news, Gerald Junior states:
“Back in the day when artists would premiere videos on 106th & Park and TRL they would tease another record or give us a 2 for 1 to raise anticipation for albums. I wanted to do what I do best and restore that nostalgic feeling as I gear up to release my new body of work. Also, I got a chance to pay homage to my brother Treie, who was shot and killed last year in Hampton.”
Watch the CheckTheCredits-directed visuals for “Cold,” “Champion,” and “W.G.B.A.” below as well as stream the original ‘Ants & Elephants’ on your DSP of choice below. Expect the artwork, tracklist, and release date for Ants & Elephants 2 to be unveiled next month via HBE/Better Music Group.

Skrizzy Shares New Video “Safe Space”

No stranger to bringing his love life issues into the booth, West Coast-based wordsmith Skrizzy unloads the Armani Darling-co-directed music video for “Safe Space.” The latest is the follow-up to last month’s “More” featuring Cartier was produced by Drecyy and DJ Papi Bear and continues his bi-weekly scheduled releases leading up to I’m Not Toxic, You Are the EP, which is set to hit online retailers in March.
Giving fans insight on the track’s origins, the talented triple threat explains:
“I wrote this song after I stepped out on my relationship and overheard my then-girlfriend talking about it with her friends who continued the discussion once she left the room. With the conversation fresh on my brain, I picked up a pen and did what I do best. Women want men to be in touch with their feelings and express how we truly feel, but the moment we do they run to tell their friends, creating trust issues.”
“Safe Space” is available now across all streaming platforms via 4Eva Trill. Take a look at the new visual below.
