Lonny The Street Lawyer Is One Of A Kind

Published

on

Smooth and a man of character, Lonny The Street Lawyer has took years of experiences helping people battle unfair charges head on with much vigor. It’s that same passion that inspired him to open well respected DMV based Cannabis dispensaries. Below is a few things to know about the star entrepreneur.

The Street Lawyer is still one of the most exciting personalities in the national Cannabis landscape. After enjoying a career as a criminal trial attorney in the DMV and fighting over 100 cannabis cases (including close to 20 jury trials defending alleged cannabis distributors, he witnessed the destruction caused by America’s war on drugs, and cannabis enforcement of cannabis prohibitions has been a massive part of that. So, when DC went legal, the street lawyer started a cannabis company- and changed the game’s landscape and city.

Lonny was known in the Courts as a flamboyant trial attorney, almost a throwback to the old-school mafia attorneys in NYC and Philadelphia. But, throughout his career, he never once had an ethical issue. He is known to aggressively and flamboyantly defend his clients without ever stepping over the ethics line. He became a prolific radio personality on DC101 for five years, educating, guiding, and entertaining the DMV on street crimes, police issues, and society. He gained international notoriety on Social media for various content, from legal and educational videos to dance videos to comedic content and now to motivational content. He is a character in every city he lands. He is all about positivity and self-growth.

Street Lawyer Services became the premier cannabis brand and gifting shop in the town. He decided he could make it a vibe. The city converged around SLS as it was the hub for the hottest budtenders and highest-quality cannabis and even turned into the underground Celebrity pit stop in DC. Street Lawyer services became about Unity, community, art, fashion, dance, performance, tolerance, acceptance, and fun in the DMV. You never know what you’ll get when you walk into Street Lawyer Services on H St. NE.

You may have a well-known DJ spinning. You could see a few DC K st lobbyists talking shop, you may see a few young men from the block kicking it, and you are sure to run into local DC artists just getting right. On top of all that vibe, SLS has been known to have the best flower selection in the region for the past five years.

Willie Mitchell and Felicia Ford redefine Community Support

Published

The saying it takes a village to raise a child still holds true in today’s world. Only now, that same village helps breed entrepreneurs, visionaries and unique creators. These new leaders of the next generation are not only inspiring but implementing change where it can be felt the most. Willie Mitchell and Felicia Ford are redefining what community support looks like for the creative community. By constructing The Pop Up African Experience Poetry Slam, they are offering unity, exposure and effortless creative influence.

Willie Mitchell is an innovator of language

Willie Mitchell, a father, author, business owner, nursing student and motivational speaker has always loved the power of language. As a teen he dealt with heavy depression and anxiety, causing him to feel outcast and alone. Instead of allowing that isolation to take over, he began writing poetry, realizing the strength it gave him. Creating poems that would not only empower him but connect him to the world, he took a major step by sharing his passion publicly.

Willie Mitchell hosting a spoken word event

Describing his pain of overcoming sexual assault and abuse, mental abuse, depression and the pressures of becoming a father, his poetry resonates on multiple levels. As the response for his writing increased, Willie found himself in awe with praise and admiration. This reassurance that his words were helping people, urged him to create Eagle Vision Motivation and Vision Poetry. Both are unique and powerful platforms that teach, motivate and inspire people to overcome and become the best version of self. Now, an author of two books titled Uncontained Vol 1 & 2., he has plans for a third one with even more emotion and insight.

Felicia Ford creates her own space for authentic creativity

Felicia is a mother, creative and an advocate of the community. Her journey to becoming an event curator was motivated by a personal experience. D’Anthony Purvis Felicia’s son, is a big inspiration and purpose behind her drive and passion. Although he was not a music artist, he created beautiful music and amplified what a music artist could be. D’Anthony wanted to perform his music for the world but had his own doubts and felt nobody provided the right platform for him. Unfortunately, D’Anthony lost his life before ever getting a chance to purse what could have been. With that memory, Felicia was inspired to create the type of platforms that were missing.

Paving a space for entertainment, connection and unity

Using the inspiration of her son in addition to the lack of local safe entertainment, Felicia began her journey of curation. With a desire to give back in the most dynamic way, she created different events catering to everyone. Eager to provide an experience outside of bars and clubs, Felicia pushed for unity and a place where all could feel welcome. As an event curator she offers a variety of events that range from youth events, adult only events, family events, music showcases and so much more.

Together these two innovators are reminding the community the importance of unity and love for one another. This Sunday the pair will be hosting The Pop Up African Experience Poetry Slam, an event not only dedicated to highlighting African culture, but spreading the constant message of love, respect and support. Everything from African food, African dance, spoken word and free book bags will be happening from 2-7pm!!! Come out and support this Sunday, August 20th, 2023 at Foss Park in North Chicago, IL!! Follow both Willie Mitchell and Felicia Ford via Facebook today!.
