Bay Area Spotlight: @NBSslimmyB and @remedy415 create a catchy single with “No Funk”

Published

on

It appears that “No Smoke” is no longer the socially acceptable slang for avoiding problems. When this move away from the term occurred, no one can be sure. It’s clear that, at least to Slimmy B of SOB x ROE, that “No Fonk” has replaced the  term; at least on his new fiercely addicting song, aptly titled “No Fonk.” Built around a simple but catchy refrain in “You don’t want no fonk with me dawg,” Slimmy and Remedy create something so enticing that you’ll want to play it over and over again. The production follows the refrain in terms of simplicity but is ultimately more complex than it lets on. This all adds together to being one of our favorite tracks of 2018 so far.
