Recent Quality Control signee, Gloss Up, releases her debut full-length mixtape Before The Gloss Up. The mother of two who has accumulated 37 million RTD streams, 24 million video views and 1.3 million monthly listeners continues to grow her fanbase and social media followers with no signs of stopping anytime soon. Releases such as her HitKidd produced 2022 breakout-single “DPWM”, which would go on to over 150,000 views on YouTube in less than a month and get reposted by Cardi B, along with notable features like her verse on Lakeyah’s “Real Bitch,” have had fans of QC’s music asking for more throughout the YouTube comment sections. 

Just having released her most recent single earlier this week, “Bestfrenn” featuring her real-life best friend GloRilla, Gloss Up gives her fans more of what they’ve been asking for. This 13-song mixtape puts the Memphis born star’s rapping ability in the forefront as she lets her storytelling abilities shine on every song while delivering each verse with the raw and authentic attitude that sets her apart in the rap game. Notable features include fellow QC rapper Icewear Vezzo on “From Cross The Way” and appearances from fellow Memphis female rappers and frequent collaborators K Carbon, Aleza, and Slimeroni on “Eeny Meeny Miny Moe.” 

Already having performed for a crowd of 15,000 at Yo Gotti’s annual birthday bash in Memphis and set to play at Rolling Loud Festival in LA this year, Gloss Up appears to be on the right trajectory for becoming a household name. As she aims to perform on some of the world’s biggest stages, this project sets the tone as a strong beginning for the bright career Gloss Up is sure to have.
