Initially teased with the release of Dri Jack’s preceding single and visual, “Could’ve Been,” Dri Jack supporters are ecstatic that the wait is over. The “Princess Of College Park” provides a refreshing, healing and classic sound to the industry, in addition to being a fresh new face to RNB.

Dri Jack is one of four winners of Issa Rae’s Raedio label Creators Program supported by Google designed to provide underrepresented independent artists with more resources, as well as bring more representation of women of color in the music industry. “This EP, The Other Side, embodies transformation, creativity and infinite joy. It is a refreshing project that takes the listener on a healing journey and reminds them that you have to let go of what’s hindering you, to get to the other side.” – Dri Jack

Dri is an all-around musical talent and vocal powerhouse, and this will be popularly recognized in the EP’s lead single. Even though all 5 tracks are equally as good and relatable, Dri Jack says, “Space” is the focus track from The Other Side. Once you get out of that gray area after a hard period in your life, where you feel like it’s something missing, you find that you were the missing piece all along.”

Dri Jack releases this compelling project right in time for the climate of activism women have been displaying, aiming to make the movement a regular norm. Dri Jack is a doula, and passionate about postpartum healing and grief management, so she is firm in her stance on women-empowerment.
