DJ Kammylife unveils his new EP just in time to keep the summer vibes high!

Music titan DJ KammyLife is beginning his world tour promoting some of his old and new work.

Although he has a busy schedule ahead, we had time to sit and talk with him about his mindset when it comes to producing his globally renowned and recognized music! What made you get into music?
Music was a big influencer in helping me overcome my stressors and depression. The right song can give
you a feeling that even medicine sometimes can’t. Some say music is a drug to happiness and they might
just be right. I feel like music was always there for me in difficult times when I had no one. I bought my first set of turntables back in 2014…

I educated myself on producing beats and was able to produce music for some notable artists, I then knew this was something I could do, a passion I could profit off of!

I started playing at a lot of local clubs and restaurants and eventually started throwing shows that drew large crowds, I’ll never forget how amazing that felt and from there I was hooked!

At what point do you feel like you really crossed over from trying to do?
When I realized my team got bigger and people are rooting for my success. As mentioned above, I knew I was capable of really inspiring other through my music as the number of attendees for my performances started to increase!

When companies would pay top dollar to fly me around the world was very eye-opening for me! I always give 110% to everything that I do, but the relief I had knowing that I could financially sustain this life and have people all around the world listen to my music truly lit a fire within me to take it to the next level, and that really shows in my new release!

Did you ever fake it till you made it?
Imagination and vision is everything, you are technically faking it till you make it. Sometimes for others to believe in you, you must first believe in yourself first.

By making yourself believe with utmost certainty that you will get there is not really faking it but you’re not quite there
yet. The vision is hard to see sometimes, and hard for others to see too! But it’s the execution that is very important as well.

Are there things you did in your music where things just got much easier after you made a
change?
I started meditation which led to me incorporating a lot more calm into the things I did.

The business side of music can be very stressful, taxing, and overwhelming but your reaction to the stress is what makes things powerful.

I make sure that even if I am not in a good mood that I am able to extract and evoke that energy and pain into my music.

When I switched that mindset, that you can create beauty from pain… It freed me, and it’s beautiful to hear from the fans that the energy in my songs resonates with them.

Is success for you more about money or time? Having a lot of which one makes you feel more
successful
?
Time is what gives us the freedom to do what we want, we definitely need the money as well to enjoy life
but as long as it covers your necessities and basic needs. You can travel, visit the world and enjoy a lot of
what time can give you. I’m grateful every day and don’t take my life for granted. Having the ability to do what I love, travel the world, and have people inspired by my music is everything!
