Jada Kingdom tries to remember “Last Night” in new song and video

Published

on

Asserting herself as a breakthrough artist this year, Jamaican-born singer and songwriter Jada Kingdom uncovers a slick, sizzling, and sultry new single and video entitled “Last Night” today via Money Well Spent/Republic Records.

Listen to “Last Night” HERE

A sparse beat trickles underneath her sensual vocals as she confesses, “Last night was crazy, can’t remember it. Her voice moves in waves with the track’s ebb and flow, dipping in and out of dancehall and R&B with a sly hint of pop. In the accompanying visualizer, Jada brings the lyrics to life with a beach side party.

It stands out as the follow-up to “Dickmatized.” The latter immediately incited critical applause. Brooklyn Vegan touted it among “20 New Rap and R&B Songs Out This Week” and applauded it as “a cool, chilled-out song that’s about exactly what you think it’s about.” Meanwhile, Dancehall Mag summed it up succinctly as “ultra-sexy.

“Dickmatized” arrived on the heels of the international bop “Jungle. Between cracking a million total streams, HotNewHipHop praised its “insights into the trials and tribulations the young singer has endured.” NME put it best, “The singer/songwriter’s tough upbringing means she isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, a mentality that shines through in her blend of salacious dancehall and straight-to-the-point R&B.

Meanwhile, she added multiple dimensions to this banger via official remixes from Skylar MonesR3HAB, and Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph. Continuing to engage her growing worldwide fan base, she also just dropped a sizzling cover of the Amy Winehouse classic “Back To Black. Watch it HERE.
