Dante’ Harris & What Up 5 Tag Smoke DZA On ‘RED.eth’
Dante’ Harris, aka Cryptony Soprano (@danteharrismusic), teamed up with Boosie Badazz-collaborator What Up 5 (@whatup5_) on their new EP, RED.eth. The rapper/producer duo has been creating music for years. Dante’ used to sleep in the studio when he worked with 5 in LA. Their bond grew a lot since he helped facilitate collaboration with Boosie and DJ Flipp for the fast-rising producer. This new EP is just the start of what is looking to be a large amount of content from the new duo. They share a passion for the bubbling crypto scene and will also be teaming up to drop some NFTs for the fans.
RED.eth is six songs of heat with a lone feature from blog era legend Smoke DZA. Each record tells its own story but ties into the project’s central theme perfectly. “millionaire” shows both Harris & Smoke DZA going bar for bar on the 4/20-friendly instrumental. This collaboration was a full-circle moment for Harris because he has always respected DZA’s business acumen. If this project indicates what Harris & 5 have in the tuck, fans of both creatives are in luck. The 19-minute EP is enough to satisfy their fans while leaving them wanting more. This summer is looking to be one of the talented Lousiana-born MC’s best.
