DUSTY LOCANE Announces Debut Album, ‘UNTAMED,’ Out 11/19 Via EMPIRE | Shares New Single, “CANES WORLD”

Complementing his deep-voiced tough talk with strong, confident melodies, DUSTY LOCANE knows what it takes to be Brooklyn’s next superstar emcee. The Canarsie native is announcing his debut album, UNTAMED, out next Friday, 11/19 via EMPIRE. In just one year, DUSTY has garnered over 250 million global streams, and he’s ready to keep feeding the streets. The album is not only a dossier of what defines DUSTY as one of the city’s hottest drill artists, but what drives him as a man through in his everyday life. It’s home to his breakout hit “ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN FREESTYLE,” as well as other certified heaters like “Rolando (Caught In The Rain)” and “RUMBLE” that dropped earlier this year and still can be heard blaring out of car stereos from Bed Stuy to Bay Ridge. The album also features appearances from label mates, Yung Bleu and OBN Jay, who each provide their own brand of melodic flair to the tracklisting. UNTAMED is now available for pre-order/pre-save here.

Along with the album’s announcement, DUSTY shares a brand new single titled CANES WORLD.” Serving as the record’s closing track, the song serves as DUSTY’s mission statement to anyone dumb enough to doubt him or his crew. He confidently spits over low-key, yet sinister drill production, reminding haters and foes how he’s stood pat and never switched up, proclaiming “Said you had faith in a n****, where that shit went?/I was in the trenches with a couple killas hell bent.” The track is a testament to DUSTY’s ability to bring listeners inside his world, even if they’ve never stepped out into the 90s a day in their life.

DUSTY LOCANE has been rapidly climbing up the NYC rap ladder, powered by the success of “ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN” and its follow-up singles. DUSTY’s second single, the follow-up hit “Rolando (Caught In The Rain),”proved that the WOO-affiliated rapper’s success was no fluke, racking up over 1 million YouTube views and 1 million Spotify streams in its first week and earning praise from Pitchfork. Both “ROLLIN & CONTROLLIN” and “Rolando” peaked in the Top 5 of Rolling Stone’s Trending 25 chart, and his third single INTRO 2 ME, PT. 1” peaked in that chart’s top 10. On just his first four singles, 21-year-old rapper racked up over 250 million combined audio and visual on-demand streams. In February, the Canarsie native turned heads with “RUMBLE,” which racked up over 13 million streams on Spotify alone since its release, and in the Spring, DUSTY shared ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN PT. 2 (PICTURE ME),” featuring a L.A.-set video that found DUSTY paying tribute to Nipsey Hussle.

With his debut album on the way and the streets of Brooklyn on his back, DUSTY LOCANE is a great bet to reach the upper echelons of rap stardom.
