Asia Graves Fires Off Her New EP, ‘If You Knew Better’

Published

on

Asia Graves is the quintessential girl next door. The Atlanta-based songstress is nowhere near her prime, but she is genuinely making veteran moves in this industry. Her newest United Masters distributed EP, If You Knew Better, is the perfect precursor for her debut album. Clocking in at 14 minutes with six tracks, If You Knew Better is a soulful project perfect for the forthcoming fall weather. With cuffing season around the corner, relationships will form, and some will fall out. As a young 20-something-year-old woman finding her way through life, Asia’s music is refreshingly relatable. After time in college and now years in the industry, she has seen it all regarding men.

If You Knew Better is as well put together and succinct as you can get for an R&B project. The seamless transitions between the soulful tracks make the listening experience just as beautiful as the ATL songstress herself. Furthermore, Grave’s has decided to pair it with a full-length mini-movie if the project was not enough. The Overdose Studios-directed/shot visualizer helps tell the story that all six tracks were attempting to convey. Her latest EP features production from AVBClint FordSangria, and Cee B The Producer mixed it in its entirety. She and her decorated team at The UCMG went crazy from the sequencing to the sound and beats.

Tracks like “Long Distance,” “Feel A Way,” and “Blame” show Asia is evolving right before our eyes. Moreover, the range of her voice and her soulful tone is steps above her previous work. After winning the first Audiomack STAMPED Contest, Asia has been in the lab. She and her team decided to use the pandemic to truly settle down and lock into the next steps of her career. Asia Graves is a gem and has next-level star potential if she keeps going on the path that she is on now. Moreover, her trajectory is limitless, and If You Knew Better is just the proof.

Please take a listen to her latest EP on all streaming platforms and check out the full-length visualizer here below!

Black Skywalker Drops Anticipated ‘I Need Therapy’ EP

Published

Black Skywalker, the rising artist with an undeniable buzz, drops his debut EP, I Need Therapy.

The new project promises to usher in the new era of hip-hop. “Rap music is in a dark place and I came to bring the light,” said Skywalker. “The type of music I make is best described as Outer Space Jedi-level rap shit.”

Black Skywalker and Chris Rosa produced the debut EP featuring the focus track “Pills and Alcohol”. The single describes a man battling depression and anxiety with prescription medicine and champagne.

The EP includes hard-hitting 808s, crackling snares, and spacey synths. “We in Love” is a melodic record with a bouncy bass and drums. However, the lyrics depict a flawed relationship due to social media and porn addiction.

Black Skywalker’s ‘Pain of Letting Go’ has huge production and raw guitar. The lyrics express deep emotion and heartbreak, making the EP’s inspiration very clear.

“Therapy” is a song that touches on the struggles of life and the importance of seeking help. The production is interesting, with dark verses and uplifting hooks. The second verse highlights the benefits of opening up to a therapist and encourages others to do the same.

“Slide with Me” is a standout track from the EP with great production and an infectious hook. It narrates the story of falling in love with the woman of your dreams and has an upbeat vibe that sets it apart from the rest of the EP.

EP delivers a relatable conversation, amazing production, and intentional songwriting. Black Skywalker calls it outer space Jedi-level rap music.
