Featured in Respect MagazineHip Hop N MoreThe News-Gazette and more, Champaign’s-own Gatson is here with his new EP “Holding On”! With an emphasis on giving people hope and letting them know they’re not alone, Gatson aims to have his listeners walk away in a better mental space than they were in before pressing play. “I want the listener to feel hope and invigorated with a new energy knowing they can conquer anything that they truly want and believe in.” – Gatson

Jamie Gatson didn’t start making music because he had ambitions of money and fame. It was his best friend – Kiwane Carrington’s – death that gave life to Gatson’s beginnings as an artist. Kiwane was murdered by the police when he and Gatson were 15 years old. Since deciding to pursue music professionally, Gatson has released 4 projects, collaborated with members of Spillage Village, and been featured in several publications.
