TIDAL, SoundCloud, Apple Music, and Spotify: Which Streaming Service Should You Get?

There are four streaming giants that people utilize – most of the time, paying for more than once when they offer somewhat similar packages. Doing this, aside from waisting money, limits the listener from absorbing the full scope of the content that each service has. So to help with that, we’ve decided to break down what service is best for you.
TIDAL: Quality
TIDAL’s main draw is its lossless audio that’s decidely more expensive to use ($19.99 per month vs $9.99 per month). Aside from that, you’re not necessarily missing out on much. There’s the same music that comprises most of the others. You won’t find Beyonce’s Lemonade or Jay Z’s 4:44, but, if you can live without that, you’ll find plenty to look for in the other services.
SoundCloud: Rising Stars
TIDAL, Apple Music, and Spotify, all share one thing in common: you won’t find nary a rising star there – always someone that’s been cultivated for the spotlight. SoundCloud is a lively database populated with primarily underground artists. The community has created its own culture that’s frequently bit by mainstream artists. If you’re looking for the next big think, SoundCloud is the way to go.
Apple Music: Design
There’s nothing inherently bad about Apple Music, it’s just that it’s not all that good either. It’s decent at best, with curated playlists lacking special sauce being its best feature. But if you’re looking to have something that works best with Apple technology, Apple Music may be the way to go. From functionality to uniform design capabilities, Apple Music reigns supreme in the usability department.
Spotify: Playlists
Spotify has a ton of features that separate it from the rest. My favorite is the curated playlists that you can download at any time, but there are a number of features as well such as access to multiple apps for one low price that make it the best bang for your buck.
