Lou Gram and David Wesson trade verses in the commanding “Full Clip”

Published

Now, THIS is how you make boss music. It’s powerful, straight-forward, and inspiring. The visual reaffirms aspirations of the boss life, mixing the wants of the viewer with the possessions of actual b0sses. There are two words that describe the entire package: fucking cold.

Lou Gram and David Wesson are two consummate spitters that know how to jack up an instrumental in the best possible way. Their flows are more classic than modern, and that’s great. We don’t need more autotuned-adept artists, sacrificing lyrical quality for perceived melody mastery. The thundering production provides the perfect backdrop for the lustrous flows. You’ll really want to run this one back.

What are you waiting for? Watch the video for “Full Clip” below.

Starting the new year off on a high note, Obasi Jackson released his new video, “What It Is,” as premiered exclusively on BET Jams. The video, directed by Leo Chen, was broadcasted throughout the day, Friday, Jan. 15th, on BET – with an accompanying digital premiere on BET.com.

“What It Is,” which is also available on all DSP’s via EMPIRE, sets the tone for the remainder of the year – which looks to be both eventful and fruitful for the young rising star out of Brooklyn. This is just the beginning.

Earlier in the month, Obasi brought in the new year with a “Peace of Mind,” as he sat down with Taraji P. Henson on her Facebook Watch Original series. In this episode, Obasi opened up about mental health, dealing with the loss of his brother, Pop Smoke, and more.

The 19 y/o Baltimore native always wears his heart on his sleeve, and on “NxBody” he takes you through the push-pull of a tumultuous relationship: “I wish I had love again, I wish I had somebody / I know there ain’t no recovering, no, we can’t restart it / But I don’t want nobody else, so baby, let’s restart it.” “NxBody” is the latest video to come from TheHxliday’s BatBxy EP, released Jan. 1st via Motown Records.
