@_snapdogg_ proves again that he’s the King of Remixes with “Death Wish”

Published

on

The Problem Child of Detroit is back with another remix to  King Louie’s “B.O.N.” called “Death Wish.” The somber track is invigorated with Snap’s energy, turning it into a fiery exhibition of the swagger and mastery that he imbues in his raps. Leave it to Snap to make us wish that the remix was a little longer than just two minutes.

While the song becomes much livelier when Snap is at the helm, the video retains the somber energy of the song’s original trappings. Snap raps in dimly lit rooms as well as under the nighttime sky. While not groundbreaking, it does fit the original song’s aesthetic. We just wish it would have fit Snap’s.

Akhil Sesh’s latest visual is “Lil Thouwow” and if there’s one word to describe it, it’s definitely “wow.” That’s a good one by the way, often because the word gets misconstrued in this context. In the visual for the song smoother than usual song, Akhil Sesh loads on copious amounts of special effects that showcase a drive to be eclectic. It works, too.
