The Sixth Annual 7 Wonders DJ Battle puts a spotlight on the Impact of Chicago DJ’s

Chicago brought the entire Midwest out at the recent sixth Annual 7 Wonders DJ Battle. After a five-year hiatus, Chicago welcomed the phenomenal event back with open arms. Held at the popular Promontory venue off of Lake Street, the competition was hosted by renowned Dj Nephets of Power 92 Chicago. Bringing together both music and generations, this competition was an unforgettable moment.

A Battle for Generations

Drawing talent and music advocates from all over, the 7 Wonders DJ Battle is becoming one of the most prestigious DJ competitions across the Midwest. Further proving the power of DJ’s, the unique platform showcases creativity and technical mastery. Created by Ashanda Jai Productions, this DJ battle is about so much more than music, it’s about connection and representation.

Throughout the years, legendary Chicago Dj’s like DJ Gemini Jones, Soul Selector DJ MH2DAand other’s have competed at the battle. For the sixth year, Chicago welcomed contestants DJ Trouble Kidd, DJ Ken, DJ YSL, DJ Dolo and The Chicago Rambo. All of the DJ’s brought incredible energy, with a full house in attendance. As the different mixes of classic sounds filled the venue, each DJ proved just how important their presence is. In addition to the outstanding DJ’s, this year’s competition also included a phenomenal line up of judges including DJ Sluggo, DJ AMPM, and Chicago Icons Terry Hunter and George Daniels.

With $1000 up for grabs, the close battle ended with DJ Ken taking the thrown. As the night continued with Chicago juke mix sets and radio classics, the influence of Chicago DJ’s was felt loud and clear. In the visual, the reality star-turned-recording artist hosts a party that involves guests sneaking off for a rendezvous. Dominique entices her love interest with passionate foreplay and hypnotizing lyrics.

ANF (Ain’t Never Fold) accompanies Drea’s bad image with a slick verse that idolizes the star, bestowing the world at her feet. E-Los Unveils New Track “Searching”

Following a noteworthy freestyle on COMPLEX taste-making discovery platform On The Radar and Shade 45’s “The Punchline Academy” as well as an intimate homecoming show at Rockwell Theatre, Boston bachelor E-Los previews the release his forthcoming EP Casanova by launching the first official single “Searching.”

In a press statement to Medium Creative Agency about his latest drop, the genre (Hip-Hop/R&B) blending vocalist reveals:

“This record dissects the challenge of being paralyzed by fear; the talking stage. When you’re close enough to appreciate their presence, yet far enough to keep your true feelings at a distance. You know you’re wasting their time, but hope they’re enjoying it while it lasts as you wrestle with the uncertainty of it all.”
