SleazyWorld Go Teams Up With Offset For Braggadocious Stepper’s Anthem “Step 1”
SleazyWorld Go’s rapid rise to rap stardom has not compromised his art. On his latest single, “Step 1 (Ft. Offset),” Sleazy doubles down on his now inimitable ‘Sleazy Flow,’ as he delivers hard-hitting bars with impressive nonchalance and his voice glides over a menacing, bass-heavy beat. The Kansas City by-way-of Grand Rapids upstart tapped Atlanta mainstay Offset for “Step 1,” with the pair trading bars about the respect they’ve earned in their cities while simultaneously offering a warning to anyone who wants to step to them. In Sleazy’s own words, “We stay bending blocks, I think the opps trying to play hide and seek/We the ones seeking, they the ones hiding it ain’t hard to see.” “Step 1” is a stepper’s anthem and offers a taste of what to expect on SleazyWorld Go’s upcoming mixtape COMER (pronounced “Come Here”), an introduction to his sonic world.
In the official video for “Step 1,” directed by BOOMIN’ FILMZ, class is in session and SleazyWorld Go is the teacher. Sleazy provides handwritten notes and a step-by-step guide on how to be the boss. He and his fellow steppers are a show of force with prop artillery before meeting up with Offset; both parties join forces with Sleazy and Set rapping hard-hitting bars while showing off their respective diamond-encrusted cuban links and fresh outfits.
“Step 1” releases as SleazyWorld Go’s breakout hit “Sleazy Flow” continues to earn the rapper new fans. The song caught fire earlier this year with praise from Jack Harlow, Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, Lil Baby, and Lil Nas X, each showing love to the song on social media. The success of “Sleazy Flow,” led to an official remix with Lil Baby, with the original and remix amassing over 60 million streams globally. On the remix, both rappers rhyme effortlessly over a piano-laden beat, trading bars about the respect they demand and the safety they provide the women in their life. If “Step 1” and “Sleazy Flow,” are any sign, it’s only up from here for SleazyWorld Go.
In his own words, “I want to bring something new to the game.” From flows, beat selection, and fashion choices to cultivating his own unique lingo, SleazyWorld Go is an artist that demands originality. With burgeoning support from all sides, he is poised for superstardom, declaring, “I want to keep breaking those barriers and doing what hasn’t been done.”
