Orion Shares “Send It Up”

Following up the music video for “Tenet,” Orion (@O_Delasoul) continues to stamp his high energy signature sound with “Send It Up.” Produced by Rasneek (@RasneekMusic), the latest single from the DMV native is an ode to the feeling you get at a strip club or a lit bar when a gorgeous girl catches your eye. Essentially “Send It Up” is a party anthem describing the perfect woman. [Photo Credit: Medium Creative Agency]
In a statement to the press, Orion details why the song was created:
“The current state of the world inspired me to make this record. It’s Summertime and outside is slowly but surely getting back to where it was before COVID-19. I felt the need to make some crank to help everybody enjoy this new normal. That was my goal with this track “

Named after the constellation and raised in Northern Virginia, Orion was introduced to music at a young age by way of his parents, playing artists such as Mary J. Blidge, The Delfonics, Aaliyah, and even Sting. As time progressed, artists such as Kanye West, Gorillaz, and Virginia’s own Pharrell, sparked Orion’s personal infatuation towards music. This ultimately inspired him to start creating and releasing music of his own.
In late 2015, Orion released his breakout single “TTG,” which has now amassed over 6M+ streams across all platforms. Five years later, he released his long awaited full-length project Cyberpunk. The 12-track body of work draws influence from multiple mediums and finds Orion traversing the strange digital world of a never-released VR game.

STORY Releases New Single/Video “Many Men”

Last month, STORY released his 917 Rackz-assisted single titled “No Hook” and quickly follows up to keep his momentum going. Hailing from Southside Jamacia, Queens himself, it was only right for STORY to sample 50’s classic record “Many Men” as his latest drop.
“50 is a legend and to be where he’s from… you know I had to show love and flip ‘Many Men’. BIG QUEENS! BIG STORY!”
He linked with director QaSquiat to bring the record’s high energy to-screen, as he’s joined by his crew including fellow buzzing NYC artist, Healthy Chill. STORY is far from a ‘drill rapper’ and effortlessly shows he can take even the game’s hottest sub-genre- and make it look easy.

Kamos Unveils New EP, ‘828 Vol.3’

Kamos delivers the third installment in his 828 EP series. Following the release of Volume 1 and 2, Volume 3 proves to be the BX emcee’s most introspective body of work to date. Touching on the topics of losing a loved one, economic woes, marriage, fatherhood, and work-life balance, the 3-track collection of songs features additional production from Beatsmith, Mike Lakes, Affy Avenue, and Reece Benjamin.
Detailing the significance of his latest drop in a press statement, the NYC lyricist shares:
“V3 is the first project where I speak candidly about the passing of my daughter, financial hardships, and get super vulnerable with my emotions.”
Hailing from The Bronx borough of New York City, C.K Reid, bka rapper/producer Kamos, is a self-taught musician who began his journey in the arts at the age of three. Always infatuated with the soulful sounds that come from music, his dad saw his passion for Hip-Hop as a youth and installed FL Studio on their family computer when he was nine. Shortly after he became familiar with the production software, Kamos’ father helped him transform his bedroom into a home studio.
In 2014, Kamos generated internet buzz with his nostalgic record “MYFB.” He shortly followed with “Own Supply,” a twist to Notorious B.I.G.’s “Ten Crack Commandments,” and then “Better Doe.” Kamos continued to build and perfect his sound, working with local talent as a producer for their records. Now focused fully on being a recording artist, in 2022 he released Volume 1 of his EP series 828. Volume 2 was released earlier this year in January.
