OMB Peezy Releases Gangsta Grillz Mixtape “MisGuided”

Published

on

OMB Peezy delivers his highly-anticipated new project MisGuided today [via An Overkill Ent/ 300 Entertainment] for Gangsta Grillz’ latest installment hosted by DJ Drama. Including features from fellow heavy-weight artists, NLE ChoppaMorray, and G Herbo, Peezy rises to a pinnacle point with diamond-encrusted lyrical flexes and storytelling that certifies his artistic magnetic appeal. MisGuided is made available to stream on all music service platforms HERE alongside an official music video to his imminent hit “Real Shit” featuring Morray — Watch HERE.

I came up with this title thinking about my childhood and the things I used to see as a kid. I saw things dat I didn’t know were wrong until later on in life. Things that the older people around me made seem cool or ‘The way of life’ as I always looked at it. That made me realize that I’m not the only kid who went through this, it’s kids goin’ through this right now and don’t even know. I just want to show them that they are being misguided before it’s too late.”– OMB Peezy

The sixteen-track mixtape is the product of the prodigious rising Rap star whose natural talent as an artist has thrived from self-growth, being a father, and in-studio collaborations with elite producers Murda Beatz (Drake, Gucci Mane), Hitmaka (Lil Wayne, Chris Brown), HicksMadeThat (Young Boy Never Broke, Yung Bleu) and more. In addition to the project acclaimed track, “Mufasa” featuring G Herbo, released earlier his year, MisGuided features an array of tracks that magnify the lack of education OG’s passed down to the youth as Peezy takes complete charge to end the cycle speaking from a newly adapted perspective from being a father. Peezy paints a vivid picture of the pain and struggle he’s faced leading to this point; however, in the end, proves that all trials eventually lead to triumphs. The project comes to a cinematic end with a triumphant, base-knocking outro reminiscent of nostalgic Rap splendor made to inspire and evoke the energy of the streets to the global masses. OMB Peezy turns a new page as once being MisGuided to standing tall masterfully in his craft and the man he’s become today.

Slated to take his victory lap on the heels of his latest release, the Mobile, Alabama native prepares for this tour with Kevin Gates via ‘Big Lyfe’ tour kicking off on 8/23/22. For additional tour information, visit: https://www.kvngates.com/tour

Godbliss & Papoose Snap on “God Tier” — And It’s Mean

Published

Some records talk tough. Others are tough. “God Tier” falls into the latter. Godbliss linked up with Papoose for a bar-heavy banger that checks every real rap box: punchlines, flow, grit, message, and presence. This track doesn’t just knock — it slaps you awake.

Godbliss proves yet again why he’s a respected force in the underground — unfiltered, intelligent, and vicious on the mic. “I cut you up to link sausages,” he spits with zero hesitation, layering graphic metaphor with East Coast bite. Papoose, ever the technician, fires back with Bronx-worthy venom and deadly delivery, flipping street tales into punchline poetry.

The production? Dirty and deliberate, it gives both emcees the space to wild out without losing the structure. What really sets “God Tier” apart is how clean and cohesive it sounds while still feeling raw. This ain’t for the TikTok crowd. This is gym music. Cipher music. Real rap fans, do yourself a favor and press play now — and then again. You’ll find something new in each listen.

“Candy” is a seductive, & sexy ride where Omega the Poet and Foolie $urfin compare a woman’s allure to the sweetness of candy and the sleek luxury of a Mercedes.

The track blends dreamy melodies with lust-driven lyricism, capturing the high of infatuation and the temptation that comes with beauty and desire. It’s a sonic fantasy — smooth, hypnotic, and dripping with double meanings.

Star2 x Sprite x Luh Kel Drop “Where Would You Go?”

Star2 x Sprite x Luh Kel release the new single and video “Where Would You Go?”. The song taps into the frustration of questioning someone’s loyalty to you. The verses seamlessly shift between English and Thai in a vibrant fusion of R&B-infused melodic hip hop that is both poignant and powerful.

“Where Would You Go?” was filmed at Wat Saket (The Golden Mount), which is a significant ancient Buddhist temple in Bangkok where monks live and pray.  Many scenes took place in the cave on the property that displays a large replica of the towering 33 ft. “Bamiyan Buddha” from central Afghanistan that was destroyed by the Taliban in 2001, and recreated to bring back the lost cultural heritage.

“Where Would You Go?” is from Star2’s forthcoming EP, No Place Like Home, which is set to drop on May 9th.
