NYC’s DUSTY LOCANE, Ron Suno, Rah Swish, & OnPointLikeOP Share “BUST DOWN” Video

Published

on

DUSTY LOCANERon SunoRah Swish, and OnPointLikeOP set out to subvert and exceed expectations with their collaborative SAY DAT EP. Proving that each of the EMPIRE artists can hold their own and still shine together, the drill quartet shares the new video for “BUST DOWN”. Backed by an instrumental that gives the NY drill treatment to a ‘90s pop culture staple, with production courtesy of BordeauxNon NativeReece, and Deroux, “BUST DOWN” finds the artists recounting their sexual exploits with the giddiness of high schoolers at the lunchtable, as Ron raps, “I did it a skit with your girl, now she famous/She got nice toes, match with the anklet.”

Directed by Nimi Hendrix, the video for “BUST DOWN” takes all the raunchy rawness of the track and turns it up to ten for a clip that feels like a Project X-style rager at the Playboy Mansion. Kicking off the video, Ron Suno emerges from the massive estate’s doors in a shower robe like Tony Soprano, but he’s not out to grab the newspaper. As DUSTY, Rah, and OP enter the scene, it turns into a full-blown pool party. Though Ron’s not winning any swimsuit contests with his Canada Goose puffer jacket, jeans, and ski mask on in the pool, this robe-clad squad is out to make a splash wherever they go.

SAY DAT is the first collaborative project by this group, but the close-knit, EMPIRE-signed rappers have worked together frequently in the past. This summer, Ron Suno, Rah Swish, and DUSTY LOCANE united for SHOES,” a highlight cut from Ron’s recent project SUNO MODE. DUSTY LOCANE and Rah Swish joined forces on BIG WOOS,” a proud anthem from DUSTY’s late 2021 debut album UNTAMEDOnPointLikeOP connected with DUSTY LOCANE in 2021 for the street hit MOVE DOLEY” and earlier this year for Stickup,” which also featured Jim Jones, and teamed up with Rah Swish on the fiery Always Workin.

All four rappers spent this year staking their claim as major figures in the NYC rap scene. Ron Suno racked up tens of millions of streams on his hit song “What They All Say” and its Rowdy Rebel-featuring remix, which appeared on his new album SUNO MODE. Rah Swish struck gold with his Soulja Boy-sampling street hit Tell ‘Em,” while OnPointLikeOP collaborated with the likes of G Herbo, Sheff G, and Sleepy Hallow in recent months. DUSTY LOCANE recently dropped the ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN EP, which collected each installment of DUSTY’s GOLD-certified debut single, “ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN FREESTYLE,” including the recent “ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN Pt. 3 (BEEN ROLLIN)” and it’s TikTok-viral predecessor, as well as his second-ever single, “Rolando (Caught In The Rain)” (95 million Spotify streams), which receives a brand new sequel on the project.

With SAY DAT EP, look for the Five Borough foursome to continue their reign as the hottest rhymers in the Big Apple.

Even though a 40-hour drive and well over 2,500 miles separates California from the state of Florida, C Glizzy and Rappa are locked in as if they were next-door neighbors.

Evidence of their transcontinental connection on their latest street bop “Bang Wit Me.” Comprised with equal parts of Coastal influence and Southern flare, the single is equipped with the type of thunderous 808s that are capable of rocking clubs from Los Angeles to Broward County with ease.

“The best part about ‘Bang Wit Me,’ was bringing The South to LA–I was focused on bringing LA to Florida and vice versa,” C Glizzy said.

“Rappa and I be recording like we just chilling in the house–but because of our personal relationship, we think about things outside of the box. We actually have a mixtape on the way. We don’t have a name yet but stay tuned!”

As 2023 comes to a close for C Glizzy, a quick glance at his output for the year shows how his staggering work ethic has catapulted him into an upper echelon of newcomers within the rap game. In addition to delivering his smoldering freestyle for the red-hot Fire in the Booth performance series, C Glizzy has been on a remarkable feature run.

Along with his new collab with Rappa, he has also recently connected with the producer Smash Hitz in addition to collaborating with BlocBoy Jah for their joint effort “With The Gang.”

On top of all of that, C Glizzy has delivered over nine new releases this year–among the impressive string of records is his fan-favorite single “Do You Wrong.” Not to mention C Glizzy is also still enjoying the high from his appearance as tour support for Lil Mosey along with comparisons to buzzing Florida artists such as Hotboii, Kodak Black and more. He’s also previously joined forces with the likes of Foolio, WizDaWizard, Mozzy and Tsu Surf, among others.
