Check out the interview below!
What city are you from, and where are you based now?
Washington, DC, my whole life.
What made you choose the artist’s name?
Growing up, people in my neighborhood younger than me and my siblings couldn’t pronounce my name, so they used to say Nuno, and it just stuck with family and friends.
You make a lot of music for the streets. Tell us the story behind the new project for those who have yet to listen.
I try to make music based on my everyday experiences and love for the hustle. My album is based on stuff I’ve gone through my whole life and am currently trying to achieve.
Has upbringing shaped who you are and defined your sound today? If so, how?
Yes, growing up where I’m from, coming from a single-parent home, everyone grew up with violence and struggle. That played a significant role in who I am today and how and things I rap about.
How would you describe your sound to readers who may need to become more familiar with you?
Inspirational, inspire people to get money.
What ultimately inspired you to shift to independence and re-dedicate yourself to a music career?
Growing up I had uncles that had a band so I would often see them play at parties I was always around music. When I was young, I used to rap and record myself on the phone with my friends, just playing around and writing sometimes. As I got older, a couple of people told me to go ahead and take it seriously as I wanted to, so I did that and started to drop music consistently. Overall, I feel at ease and comfortable when I am doing music, making me cherish it more.
Your videos are movie quality; why is it essential to provide dope visuals in today’s music space?
I believe an excellent visual attracts more eyes than you think.
Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?
Growing up, I’ve always liked to play basketball. I play basketball or spend time with my family when I’m not making music.
What were you doing before music?
Before music, I was more involved with certain things and hustled, trying to figure out a way out and a better life. Music helped me cope with a lot of trauma and put my mind into something I love to do.
Who are some of your main musical influences?
Growing up, I used to listen to Lil Wayne a lot. To this day, I also grew up listening to Gucci Mane and Tego Calderon.
What are some of your music career goals for the future?
I keep growing a more extensive fan base and getting closer with my fans, and I go number 1 one day.
What’s next for you?
I just released my album, “Hardest Migo In da DMV,” so I am about to push the album as much as I can and drop more visuals overall. I want to do better than yesterday to get to the next level.

This powerful record, produced by Icin On Da Kake, is a celebration of women’s resilience, strength, and relentless drive, especially honoring Black women who work tirelessly for the recognition they deserve. Coming on the heels of their recent release “Fine Sh*t Ratchet,” the duo wanted to create a track that acknowledges the countless women who hustle every day to achieve their dreams and provide for their loved ones, often without support or acknowledgment.
