$NOT Ghost Rides His “BENZO” in the Latest ‘Ethereal’ Video
Lashing out at the world from behind his ever-present hoodie, $NOT sublimates his curmudgeon tendencies into aggressively catchy rap songs. Sharing a hedonistic clip for one of his most confrontational songs to date, the 24-year-old artist shares “BENZO.” Produced by PinkGrillz88 and regular $NOT collaborator Eem Triplin, “BENZO” combines dynamic 808s with ominous, tolling bells, creating a bass-boosted canvas for $NOT to describe the various ways he’ll mess you up if you cross him: “Coming out the coupe, we them troops/All we do is point and they shoot at you.” Directed by NOTACHANCE, who applies a similar VHS-like grain that he used in $NOT’s latest video “5AM,” the video for “BENZO” finds the hooded rhymer taking his Mercedes Benz out for a joy ride, accompanied by wheelie-popping roadsters and dirt bikes, before he heads to a chaotic function and lets out his aggression on the bathroom mirror. Amidst all the chaos, the video pauses for a moment so $NOT can indulge in his longtime desire to become a gas station clerk. “BENZO” follows in the wake of “5AM” and the the AWGE-directed video for “Doja” ft. A$AP Rocky, as the latest video from $NOT’s project Ethereal.
Released in early February, “Doja” ft. A$AP Rocky reached YouTube’s trending chart after the audio generated over 10 million combined streams in its first week of release. Powered by a video that followed $NOT and Rocky through NYC streets and a memorable hook that caught the attention of Doja Cat herself, “Doja” premiered at #87 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming $NOT’s first Hot 100 hit as a lead artist and second-ever appearance after last year’s “Tell ‘Em“ w/ Cochise, and it has generated over 7.6 million YouTube views and 40 million streams to date. With creative direction by AWGE and appearances from Trippie Redd, Joey Bada$$, Juicy J, and more, Ethereal is currently available everywhere via 300 Ent.
“BENZO” arrives as $NOT prepares to go on the road with the legendary Limp Bizkit on their “Still Sucks Tour.” As the lead support act on a bill that also includes Dying Wish, Wargasm UK, and Scowl, the “Still Sucks Tour” gives $NOT the opportunity to perform in front of some of the biggest audiences of his career. The tour kicks off in Tampa, FL on 4/28, stopping at Madison Square Garden in New York City on 5/13, before $NOT hops off the tour following the 5/14 show in Baltimore, MD. Tickets for the Still Sucks Tour are available at LimpBizkit.com.
Ethereal capitalizes on the momentum generated by $NOT’s successful 2021, in which he made major moves that helped him grow his audience to more than 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He earned his first Billboard Hot 100 appearance for “Tell Em“ (for which he earned a PLATINUM plaque in 2022), racked up nearly 12 million YouTube views on “Whipski,” a Cole Bennett-directed collaboration with Lil Skies, and notched additional collaborations with Kevin Abstract & slowthai, DJ Scheme & Fenix Flexin, and SSGKobe. $NOT showed off his live performance chops over the summer at festivals like Rolling Loud, Day N Vegas, Firefly, and Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash, and was recognized on the cover of publications like Miami New Times, VIPER Mag, KAZI, and PREME. In 2020, $NOT made his mark with two projects: Beautiful Havoc, home to singles like “Revenge“ and “Mean” ft. Flo Milli, and – TRAGEDY +, home to the GOLD-certified hits “GOSHA” and “Moon & Stars” ft. Maggie Lindemann.
With over 100 million streams in the bank for Ethereal, more music on the way, and upcoming performances at Rolling Loud Miami and Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash, $NOT looks likely to reach yet another level of artistry and stardom this year. Keep an eye on the young rapper as he continues to evolve into an icon on his own uncompromising terms.

Fat Trel Releases New Single “Anything”
Following a well received headlining performance at DMV Summer Jam over the weekend, Washington D.C. wordsmith Fat Trel continues his Boosa’s Keeper campaign by dropping the music video for “Anything.” The HD clip for the Hollywood Bangers‘ produced track finds the green-eyed entrepreneur and his posse enjoying the warm weather as Summer comes to an end. Trel’s latest body of work serves as an homage to slain childhood friend Darrell “Boosa Da Shoota” Marshal and includes guest appearances from IDK, EST Gee, Skilla Baby, Millyz, NSC Kai, and Almighty.
“This album is dedicated to my lil brother Boosa, who passed away when I was locked up. I put a lot of time into this album and was going through a lot while making it. I got sober and went to therapy as well. So you will hear a lot of pain and just a better version of me throughout each song. I’m introducing the world to an older, better, and evolved version of FAT TREL,” the MGE recording artist reveals in a press statement to Medium Creative Agency about the project.
Martrel Reeves PKA Fat Trel was a child far more ambitious and cognizant of his surroundings than the norm. At age seven, he professed ambitions to be a rapper, while peers delivered the proverbial “I have a Dream” Speech about aspirations to be nurses, doctors, lawyers, and fire fighters. As peers sat excited by the endless possibilities of the future, Fat Trel sat perplexed by the harsh realities of DC; the place he called home. Fat Trel exited high school at age 15, caught up in the lure and necessity of street life; a road more traveled when the have-nots impose an immediate call to action. Unconvinced high school education would support his family or cultivate his ambitions, Fat Trel hit the ground running in pursuit of being an emcee and has not stopped running since.
Fat Trel has nurtured and grown his organic storytelling ability with creative word play and pulverizing flow. Taking a raw approach to music, some would say as graphic and grimy as the streets of DC, but equally memorable and captivating nonetheless. He holds no punches and tells each story with such relativity they appear verbatim, in a matter of fact nature, that illustrates he is genuinely home grown and not caught up in the idea of being from the streets.
