KELOW LATESHA UNVEILS NEW MUSIC VIDEO “RELAX” ALONGSIDE EP ‘TURBO’ FEATURING GOONEW AND ASIAN DOLLL

Published

on

PG County, Maryland native, acclaimed artist Kelow LaTesha today has released her long-awaited sophomore EP TURBO in partnership with SoundCloud. The genre-defying latest body of work from one of DMV’s most distinctive voices in Rap is available to experience HERE. Alongside the momentous release, Kelow offers her latest music video “Relax,” which premiered earlier today. Creative directed by Khufu Najee, the thrilling visual highlights Kelow’s nonchalant, laid-back style and knack for creating visuals made to stand the test of time. Watch HERE.

Packed with electrifying anthems created to resonate with one and all, TURBO is an apex of self-expression, self-reflection, and self-care that delivers bursts of escapism and unimaginable bliss blanked in sonic daringness from the wide-ranged artist.

Creating TURBO, I constantly found myself in a perspective where I had to turn up from such a low position, but I literally couldn’t think any other way to go than up … each record recorded has a lot of energy, A LOT OF JOY, and was a good time to create. I want each listener to take these pieces of me as a pick me up & motivation to go TURBO” – Kelow LaTesha

TURBO is heralded in by her latest single, “Relax,” which arrived today with an accompanying music video HERE, along with several other exuberant singles, including “He Ain’t Mine,” featuring Asian Doll praised by XXL, UPROXX, and more, “GENIUS,” “Charizard” and “Tititinc,” praised by XXL, VIBE, Earmilk with a feature from the late Goonew—a fellow Maryland native and close comrade to Kelow.

For this project, Kelow continues to deliver on her natural ability to take complete creative control. This body of art reflects her growth as an artist with over a decade of work that attests to her prowess and acclaim. Her most recent project TSA (2020), serves as the antithesis for TURBO—from someone bracing themself for a new destination, uneasy with not knowing where exactly they will land, to embracing the journey in all forms; the rough patches and turbulence that later leaves one at their highest whilst ascending to self-actualization. A staple in the DMV’s rap scene, having collaborated with the likes of Goldlink for his album At What Cost (2017), offering a profane prayer-life verse (also heard at the beginning of his video for “Crew”), to collaborating with Lil Uzi Vert, Rico Nasty and more the attention for Kelow LaTesha has remained evident. As she continues to create a legacy of artistic excellence, no holds are barred for the high-powered music star.
