Chris Webby Tags The Late DMX On His Newest Single “We Up”

Chris Webby
(@ChrisWebby) teams up with the late Yonkers legend DMX (@DMX) on his new single, “We Up,” a taste of what’s to come on his forthcoming album, Still Wednesday (12/22). “We Up” is a song with an energy reminiscent of the East Coast Hip Hop scene in the early 2000s; as such it pays homage to X and his legacy in the most fitting way imaginable. “We Up” is a rapper’s rap song with a kick and snare that hit you in the face and rhymes about ticking time bombs. Longtime collaborators of Webby, Nox Beatz, and JP On Da Track, outdid themselves producing the beat which sounds both classic and fresh at the same time.

“This was DMX’s last ever recorded feature verse. Thank you to everyone who helped make this video. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. RIP to a legend and one of my (and so many others’) biggest inspirations as an emcee. We love you X, thank you for everything. Long live the DOG,” say’s the Connecticut wordsmith in a press statement about the song.

As a 14 year veteran of the rap game, Chris Webby has garnered an independent career which has yielded 9 mixtapes, 3 EP’s, and 5 albums to date all while establishing himself as an international touring powerhouse. His career has amassed him a fiercely loyal and continuously growing fan base across the globe. With no sign of letting up, Webby’s unwavering independent spirit continues to generate new releases and sold-out crowds around the world.
