Best Songs Of The Week featuring Rocky Badd, BandGang, and more

Published

on

This week’s been a blessing for new music from some of Detroit’s hottest and rising stars. Here are our picks for best songs of the week.

Rocky Badd – “Problems”

This exciting listen shows again why Rocky Badd is one of the city’s best lyricists. She carves up the fast beat with relative ease, spitting quotable after quotable.

Payroll Giovanni & Cardo – “Big Bossin”

This deftly smooth track is the perfect track to ride-out to when you’re in the mood to relax and coast. Payroll and Cardo have created one of our favorite tracks of the year with this one.

BandGang – “Act Like Us”

BandGang gets angry with their rambunctious release, showcasing some serious rap talent when they get riled up. Its vivacious beat is exactly the kind of production you need when rapping this good.

Webbo – “Dawg Shit”

The refrain is hilarious, but this song is serious business. The classic Detroit sound shines through on this exhilarating release, making an identifiable track that will be familiar to anyone who follows the city’s music scene.

Pook Bandz – “No Days Off”

This release is pretty smooth, mellow, and vibe-worthy. Pook Bandz showcases his ability to ride the beat in a way that doesn’t sound lazy or forced.
